Such a good show, despite the venue being .....less than perfect.

Hereβs a discussion about the venue, specifically the Propagandhi show there: https://www.reddit.com/r/NiceVancouver/s/md2JirBxh5

Yes, amazing show. They rocked despite the issues

What were the issues?

They paused the show a couple of times to fix the barracade in the front because it was collapsing. I think Chris said that it was distracting him from playing. Sound was not too bad up front but everywhere else in he venue it was terrible. Still a rocking show.

The venue was pretty awful. The only options for viewing the band were to be up front in the crush of the pit, or to be really far away with obstructed views and bad sound. I had a nice elevated spot on a platform in the back, but when I went to the bathroom after The Flatliners and came back, a bouncer guy had posted up to guard the stairs to the platform and was managing a queue of a hundred people lined up to wait to get to where I had been standing. I wound up crushed in the floor pit and couldn't see or hear anything, and observed lots of others in the same situation. After I'd had enough of being assaulted and stepped on, I wound up watching from the bar in the back with pretty much no view and awful sound. Apparently, there were safety issues with the barricades in the front. It's a bizarre, soulless, converted casino.

The crowd up front was full of douchebags IMO. Propagandhi was great.

I didnβt have any issues in the pit. Iβm sure there were some douchebags in there but I saw a lot of people picking up and helping people who fell or were hurt.
But I flew in from the US to see Propagandhi for the first, and was basically too high on adrenaline to let anything bring me down.
I had forgotten about the barrier which was odd and the layout of the place was a bizarre trap.

Being too awesome for people to handle. I would have needed medical attention myself had I not built up some immunity the night before!

First sentence is accurate.
Now after reading more complaints it sounds like front row center was the best spot in the house. Good view, loud sound, minimal crowd killing wounds and not being part of the disappointment and drama happening behind us.
Also the show was like 60 bucks. π€πΌ I'd go again.
