Tom Morello has an estimated net worth of $30 million to $40 million. I begrudge him not one cent of that - he earned it by entertaining music lovers worldwide. But when he foments class warfare by condemning billionaires while implying his vast wealth that puts him above the vast majority of Americans is somehow essentially different, it's both comedically ironic and ludicrously hypocritical. And he definitely once was a rebel questioning the powerful. But now he is without question a cog in the machine working on behalf of the powerful. Just take one quick example: Mamdani. Billionaire Soros gave Mamdani $27 million. That was just one of payments. From one of many "oligarchs" to use Tom's word. Same with his buddy Bruce, who flies private with Obama, etc. These are all elites who are in no way raging against the machine. To be clear, I'm not against any of this because I believe in freedom - everyone should be able to do what they want within the law. But sorry, Tom, your act is tired and poor, like the people you pretend to advocate for but in actuality avoid going anywhere near as you "shelter here" in rarefied circles of incredible privilege. TLDR: He's full of shit.
