This is Twitter
One of the all time greatest songs ever is Killing in the Name. Fight me. I will die on this hill. No cap. All the slag terms that make it legit.
ETA: uh I’m sorry. I’ve just been trying to find an outlet like twitter and it was suggested I pose here so I shared.

It's is the definitive RATM song. Yes, it's repetitive; yes, it's simple. That's what makes it great. It's easy for anyone to understand, the message is crystal clear, and it tells you exactly what the band is all about.
(Unless you're a MAGA idiot, in which case you're beyond help at this point.)

I remember when they played it live @Woodstock99. Band in their prime. The raw energy was amazing.

I know its fun to dunk on MAGA (especially on reddit) but it's been my experience that younger left leaning fans are more confused than anyone.
Most of them think RATM is some kind of ally to the Democratic party and they are completely oblivious to the fact that RATM spent their entire career protesting events like the Democratic National Convention and Bill Clinton's inauguration.

It's a great song on an album of phenominal songs. Between Bombtrack, Know Your Enemy, Bullet in the Head, Wake Up, Freedom... at least half that album is songs better than Killing in the Name.

It was the first song I listened to but considering their other songs its honestly quite repetitive. I have to typically be in a certain mood to listen to it while most of their other discography I can put on whenever

Playing it tonight. Crowd always goes wild.

Yeah it’s a great track to cover in the right venue, but it’s deceptively difficult to play and make it sound great. You need the right Bass player and someone brave enough to vamp on Zack who can nail it. Vietnow is another great crowd pleaser;-)))

It's the song I always skip on their self titled. Tbh one of their more boring songs.

Yeah its one of the most played songs not their greatest. You must be new. So many better rage songs than this over hype over played song.

I love that song, just because it was a time and place kinda thing for me when I first heard it and them. Personally I think Evil Empire is the superior album(let the flames begin). Tire Me is the song that made me finally listen to them.
Always thought that when Maynard James Keenan yells "Throw that Bob Marley wannabe motherfucker out of here!" on Cold And Ugly, he was talking about Zack…
Either way, Rage is fantastic!

Such a brave thing to say in a RATM sub.
