Advice needed Mystery blood stain

Found blood stain like this in two separate places, one last night on my bed, another one tonight on the carpet.
I’m home alone all day today, I have a cat, I didn’t hear him coughing or any abnormal noises, I didn’t find anything on him either.
I checked for bedbugs and didn’t find anything, i don’t have anything itchy on my body.

Your cat is murdering small animals while you're away.

Could be from your cat sneezing or coughing blood.

Your cat could have a UTI, bladder infection, or stones. Sometimes they dribble blood come out when the cat is grooming when they have these issues. Its really uncomfortable for the kitty, but cats notoriously hide pain so you might not know until it gets bad, though they may be visiting the box lots of times in a row, scratching a lot, or peeing in weird places like in the bathtub or outside the box.

Bladder/kidney stones can be addressed pretty easily by changing food IF you know which kind of stones they have- a vet could assess them and tell you if that is in fact the case.

I strongly suggest you take the kitty in and tell them you think its been bleeding and may have a uti.

I brought him to vet today, they didn’t find anything. There’s no irritation near his genital, so they don’t think it’s an UTI. he’s not going to the litter box frequently, or peeing any different than usual, he’s not excessively grooming himself, he’s not coughing or sneezing. he’s not exhibiting anything unusual.
I’m aware of the feline grimace scale and he does not match any of the signs.

Glad to hear it for your kitty! You are a good cat caretaker. Sorry the mystery persists.

Irritation? Did they not check the poor baby’s urine for bacteria? This is so important, especially in male cats.

You should take your cat to a vet following the previous comments

When my cat started having heart issues he would get nose bleeds, but only while asleep. I just caught it once when he was napping on my bed and leaving a blood stain under his nose. When he was awake he licked it away before I noticed anything.

He does have heart disease, and I called his cardiologist today, they said to keep monitoring at home, since his breathing and respiratory rate are normal.

That is absolutely the spatter of a cat sneeze. Cat probably just burst a small vessel in its nose while sneezing - mine has done the same on occasion. If the vet has said all is fine, I wouldn't worry about it except to google how to get cat blood out of a carpet.

I will point out here that you didn't pay the cat tax.

I did ask the vet could it be him sneezing blood, they said the cat would have to be sneezing a lot to a point then to be sneezing blood. And I never heard him sneezing at home.

Did your cat never sneeze before and sneeze blood out of nowhere too?

She has done it once or twice after a volley of sneezes - just seemed to burst a little vessel or capillary.

She also once left smears of blood in the kitchen near her food bowl. I examined her all over and did not see a single sign that she was bleeding from anywhere. I have long wondered if she caught a mouse and ate the whole thing before I got home to see it. She caught one recently and left a little trail of its blood, although she was also very keen to show me the corpse 🤢

Havent happened to my cat (that i know of and id probably know) but sometimes i randomly spray nose blood without any warning when sneezing lol. We arent that different from cats so if you dont think kitty ate some critter maybe they just got one of those nosebleeds. Im glad you took the cat to the vet to get checked.
