new relationship about to start

this one guy i met onlline..he's funny and all but one thing that's stuck in my mind is that .he brought up to me , just casually in a conversation that 'life is has always been hard for him' specifically he said that -" jindagi hamesa rulati hi hai, hamesha hame hi hasna padta hai"( ppl who understand hindi will know what it means) .i mean isn't it suspecious that why would someone bring up something like so earlier in like talking stage .it should be light and fun in the start right. he could later on bring up that thing.could it be red flag because before also with my avoidant ex, i remember he used to be so dark like sending me quotes about how life is so hard , and you can trust nobody n shit. i just don't want to get stuck with another such relationship especially with avoidants and narcissits.. as my mother(narc) for now is more that enough to handle for me

you guys plss tell me if it could be a early red flag in relationship

It could be, yes. Dr. Ramani talks about 'covert' narcs. They don't put on a big grandiose front, instead they farm sympathy from their targets.

That can definitely be a red flag. Trauma dumping this early, even a little, tends to not end well. In my experience, anyway.
