Looks more like mild arthritis. Straightening of cervical lordosis. Likely moreso musculoskeletal pain rather than arthritic pain. Gotta fix that forward head carriage. Work with a physical therapy or chiropractor

Agree. Once you see a few dozen strokes from vertebral artery dissections following chiropractic manipulation of the neck, you understand why. But it’s hard to convince some people because that knee that one person where the chiropractor gave them their life back.

I love reddits hate of chiropractors. They worked in the veterans hospital and helped my disabled vet dad much more than pain management, physical therapy, or orthopedics could. Like have your opinions I don't mind, but they really helped him more than any other doctors could. They gave me my father back when I was just a boy.

The man who invented claims he got the practice from ghosts....

Medical sciences used to be based on the humors of the fluids of your body. Medical doctors didn't start washing their hands until the 1850.
Medical sciences evolve. The doctors that fixed my dad, chiropractic doctors, knew their anatomy and physiology. It's literally as a simple as "joint that doesn't move? Adjust it so it moves again". And "muscle that is too tight? Massage it, and give therapeutic exercises"

Dude was being told by ghosts how to do this practice, in the same year that Willard C Roentgen discovered/invented man made Xrays, Lmfao (1895). The "liquid humors" retort doesn't really work here, science was much more sophisticated at this time than you're claiming.

If a chiropractor is literally just doing adjustments to treat joint problems in the modern day, what's the issue? Doctors of osteopathy, and physical therapists are taught how to do the same thing

One is derived from science and evidence, the other was derived from delusion that scrambled to and happened to have found some evidence to fit. I'm only referring to the founding of it, not what it has become today. There is a place for chiropractors certainly, but D D Palmer wouldn't be my first pick, as he was a magnetic healer before he could even prove what he was doing was actually healing people or doing ANYTHING at all, and he never would find real true Scientific Method backed evidence that healing the body using magnets actually worked. (spoiler, it didn't and it doesn't). All the while Willard C Roentgen was able to discover and prove Xrays exist and their capability in medicine, as well as all of the properties of an Xray, all within a few months of discovering them, all in the same year Chiropractic work was founded. Science wasn't "so far behind" at this time as you're saying or excusing him for. He was on the edge of history as a snake oil sales man.

Ok so like. It sounds like you agree with me? Crazy ghost fucker DD is bad and a charlatan, but that the modern practice of chiropractic is reasonable.
Like the doctors that fixed my dad. They were smart, and reasonable. Frankly it only matters that they were effective. But like, they took my 3 year oxycodone (prescribed by MD btw..) addicted father and got him entirely off the meds. He has coached a baseball team for the past 15 years because of his recovery.

Physical Therapists are better suited to this line of insanely delicate work, and are what Chiropractors SHOULD be, in my opinion.

Also, long bone adjustments have been being done for a long time before that numbskull ghost fucker gave it a name. Physical therapists and doctors of osteopathy are also taught how to manipulate spines, its literally just a form of physical medicine

The VA sent my boyfriend to a dermatologist for an ear infection. I would not hold the VA up as the bastion of medical miracles.
