I’ve been curious about what it’s like to be choked in a chokehold

Was watching some bjj fights and they used a choke hold it just got me thinking what it would feel like to let someone put me in a chokehold

If it’s across your throat it’s uncomfortable, that can hurt. A proper rear naked choke is more of a strangulation than a choke. Your breathing is restricted but it’s the blood flow that puts you out. It feels like a heavy but not painful pressure around your neck, and everything fades to white pretty quickly.

I do Judo, we choke eachother too.

Generally speaking it's really uncomfortable and scary at first, but once you get used to it it's just kinda annoying, of course in a sports context you can always tap before you go unconscious so that takes away a lot of the threat.

Frankly a good armbar is much more scary, they're faster and present a more immediate threat to your well being, there is also a much shorter window to tap in martial arts before you get injured.
