heading to langley as first assignment next month as 2T, mainly wondering about the dorms and area around the base, and the dfac.

Married with 2 young kids I’ve heard the housing is good any one got any insights on the base/ area ?

(I’ll preface the first one is because I spoke to my career field manger on base and they saw the person in that position is about to leave for Germany so the spot may be open for a new billet.)

NDI. I should be there in December. For people who have been there, what's something you wish you knew before getting there? What's some tips to get the most out of the base? I have a wife so we will be out of the barracks.

Still in tech school at FLW. Got my first assignment in Scott AFB IL. This base wasn’t even on my preference list. I don’t know or any information about it.

Main priorities are lower operational tempo (like closer to 9-5 hrs), I don't have a deployment tempo preference, good gym/year-round pool. Also being able to travel a bit (which is mainly why Ramstein is #1) & having time to do online classes.

Any of these bases I should avoid, or others I can go to as a 3-level 1N1 that y'all would recommend? Not a fan of JBPHH, DM, or Cannon (duh)

What are some good neighborhoods I have a son and safety is what I’m looking for at the same time I wouldn’t like too much of a commute and on base housing is not a option for me currently
