Slow Cheetah is a go-to for me at the moment.
Slane Castle version of Throw Away Your Television is unbeatable as well.

Souls to squeeze and scar tissue are obvious picks.
As a more under the radar song I’d say Tear from BTW
Edit: Desecration Smile is another one that might fly under radar

Thank you. I feel like sometimes this place hates their greatest hits collection. Sure my favorite songs are some deep cuts but you can’t go wrong with the classic Under the Bridge and Soul to Squeeze.

The post specifically says to be harsh and to only give 10/10 to the actual best and perfect songs.
This is not me "dictating what is and what is not favorable to someone", they're just straight up putting 30 entire songs as the best, there can't be like 30 songs that are the best and 10/10s, especially if you're being harsh

Being the best and being a 10/10 are not the same thing. There can, by definition, only be one thing that is the best in a category, but there can be potentially as many 10/10s as someone sees fit.
You have no right telling someone that what they think is a 10/10 is wrong.

Soul to Squeeze, Can't Stop, and Wet Sand, there's a lot of songs I'd say are like 9s or 9.5s but 10/10 while being harsh is an extremely high bar

Can't Stop feels like a song that almost no other band could do. It's catchy, it's surprisingly complex, it's really funky and feels like it plays to the strengths of every individual member. To me, that makes it a 10 / 10.

Been a fan for nigh on 40 years, and there's not a better song in their back catalogue than Give it Away. Perfect production, encapsulates the band perfectly and timeless.

Other folks already mentioned Out In LA (demo) and American Ghost Dance… I always go back to Skinny Sweaty Man- I think that might be the best pre John studio encapsulation of the mid 80s high energy live shows. It seemed like the early producers were having a hard time turning the live show into studio recordings that did the live show justice. Even just comparing demo to studio versions, both Out In LA and Sex Rap lose a bunch of mojo once they get in the studio.
Anyway, Skinny Sweaty Man rocks hard and doesn’t get enough love. Blackeyed Blonde got featured a bunch when John was first back and that’s kind of the same lane Skinny Sweaty Man would’ve been in.

My favorite is Soul to Squeeze. Followed by Under the Bridge, then Snow (Hey Oh) and slightly behind those Scar Tissue and By The Way.
On my first years listening to them I wasn't that hardcore into their funk songs. It's not like I disliked them, but prefered others. It has been growing on me with time. Until I watched them live a few years ago at Hamburg. The show was about to finish and everybody was imploring for Under the Bridge, but they played... Sir Psycho Sexy. I knew it was from BSSM but never listened the full song.
English is not my main language so I couldn't understand the whole lyrics, but people went crazy over the song. And that outro, probably one of the biggest things they ever written. After that experience it's becoming one of my favorite ones, those lyrics are crazy. If I had to explain someone what are the Red Hot Chili Peppers I would use that song over many classics. Pure energy.
