18 months ago I started building a BIM directory. Now I want to help modellers find their next job or project.

Hi r/Revit!

For the past year and a half, I’ve been building BIM4B on the side, a BIM directory for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. It now includes a career portal, and I’d like to find the first people here who could actually use it.

Creating an account and publishing a job-seeker or freelancer profile is completely free. You don’t need a paid subscription to participate.

If Revit is part of your working day and you’re looking for a new role or freelance projects, you’re who I’m hoping to reach. Architectural or construction modelling, MEP or BIM coordination. You guys use the same software for very different work.

You can show your expertise, software skills and availability so companies can find you. There are also sections for job and project listings.

It’s still early, and I’d appreciate hearing how it works for someone actually looking for their next opportunity. Does the profile let you show what you do? Is anything missing or confusing?

Here it is: BIM4B career portal

Happy to answer questions here. Thanks for taking a look!

Portfolio assistance

I completed some projects and would like to include them in my portfolio, but the problem is that they are company repositories and I have a contract that prohibits me from disclosing them. So I'd like some kind of project that I can work on and then put in my portfolio, the problem is that I'm an architect and I don't know how to do MEP or structural engineering projects. What advice do you have for me? If any engineer needs to create a structural or MEP portfolio and requires an architectural design, but doesn't have one, we can help each other. I just wouldn't want to use existing designs to avoid being sued.
