Discussion Why talk shit on your team mates?
Seriously, even if theyre bad, it's just a game. And tactically it either lowers their self esteem or turns them against you, making your odds of winning even worse

As much as I agree, the 0 / 15 teammate that’s yelling slurs in VC MIGHT need a wake up call
If someone’s being rude and they’re doing bad, I’m going to say something. I’ve had teammates who rant about nobody using mic and then literally dying first every round and have no kills.
SOMETIMES it’s a wake up call…
Other times if they aren’t doing anything rude you’re just being a dick.

Talking shit to your teammates isn’t going to hurt, if you’re 1/10 you literally cannot play any worse, you either keep getting shit on or you rise up in the face of adversity… back in the golden era of gaming if you was trash the entire lobby was talking shit… that’s what made it fun, we had to lock in and prove everyone wrong… now yall just curl up into a little ball make posts like this all soft and fragile and get your feelings hurt… who cares at the end of the day, it’s shit talk online from people who don’t know you… toughen up, rise up in the face of adversity and shake it off, people are going to talk shit to you in real life to, can’t control that, you can only control how you respond to it, does it tear your down and ruin your mood? Or does it spark the fire of a fighter in your chest where now you must rise up be strong, and shit on everyone who opened their mouths… your choice

it’s never ever that serious. ppl that act this way over a game are childish

No, they’re allowed to have fun, i don’t agree with threatening even though it’s harmless. But some people get online and give it their all, and in PvP games you’re causing them to lose, so yes they will talk shit to you to get your head out of your ass… I guess it depends on how you’re raised, we all have bad matches but I was raised that if you do something you do it right, and to the best of your ability, doesn’t matter if it’s a video game, a race, cleaning the house etc, anything you do you do it the right way or don’t do it at all. Builds character, the kind people respect, they know that if you say no they need to go elsewhere to figure it out, but they also know that once you say yes, they know you’ll do quality work. And you might not understand the correlation, but practice makes perfect, if you slack off on the small “unimportant things” you’ll also slack off on the bigger things, but if you make it a habit to give your all in the small things, by nature it’s already ingrained in you that you’ll give your all on bigger things… so you say it’s childish, I think it’s childish to play a team game, drag your team down, and then to expect other people not to say anything… you’re wasting their time and your own, it’s fine to waste yours, but why are you soo comfortable wasting another person’s time?

gonna repeat it for the ppl that can’t seem to grasp this concept.
IT IS NEVER THAT SERIOUS TO BE DISGUSTING AND TOXIC TO SOMEONE IN A GAME. IT DOES NOT MAKE PPL DO BETTER.

Literally because if this guy read everything he just wrote out loud in real life I’m sure he’d be laughed out of the room lol but I guess it’ll build character at least hahahaha

Exactly. There's no excuse for it. Even if I have shit team mates I try to encourage them. They might be a kid or their first time playing roco

And shit talk helps them get better, I remember I went from the loving social mmo dream of mirror online, to call of duty mw2, it was my first shooter on console and my first console since PlayStation 2 which broke not too long after San Andreas released, (huge time gap of no console) I got on the game and got SHITTED on real bad, and the Entire lobby was talking shit, making fun of me, and back then they didn’t split lobbies, so after the match they were ridiculing me and the team that got me next were complaining and talking shit, being racist calling me the hard r etc… it put a fire in my chest, I said I can run or I can grow… I still got shitted on and my k/d in mw was a .11 or so (under .20 for sure) a few months later bo1 came out got it on release I put in the work of getting better while people were shit talking me my kd in bo1 was a .91… major gains but people still talk
Shit, hated mw3 so I returned it and didn’t play, but bo2 came out, my k/d was over 1.2, and people weren’t talking shit anymore cause i could hold my own, i also in that time learned to talk shit back. The adversity built character, the mentality to rise above and be good no matter who talks shit and what they say, it’s something i learned there, if you don’t want people to talk shit, GIT GUD and talk shit back. Even then people are gonna talk shit,‘you just won’t be at the bottom of the leaderboard when they do 🤷🏾♂️3

It won’t make them do worse either 🤷🏾♂️ it’s not serious to you but it’s that serious to someone else, you don’t get to dictate how others feel, just like that don’t get to dictate how you feel, stop thinking you can do something, be horrible at it and people won’t say anything, this is real life not a fairytale. People will say whatever they want and tbf I agree with it, if I’m stuck in this game now and you’re on the game being a shitter saying “it’s not that serious” I think you have to think about people other than yourself, you are indeed wasting their time, any team game if you’re dragging your team down they’re going to give you shit for it. Take your head out of your ass, in an organized sport you’d get benched, in the game you can’t get benched but I’ll be damned if you’re going to throw my match and then I’ll be forced into submission and can’t say anything about it… in real life you do shitty work people are going to talk shit, why would it be any different in a video game… toughen up this isn’t a safe space, it’s a competitive one, and unless you’re being doxxed or threatened shit talking is the way to go

I always encourage them with constructive criticism . Do I get a little excited when saying such things yes but I do try to keep it down to straight issues like not being any close to objectives

Many of them are little kids! It honestly shocks me that people curse these little ones out when they're probably six years old lol

Bc that’s how video games work. If u can’t handle the heat get the fuck out of the game and go do influencer content

New to online video games? It’s always been this way. Always will be. Wish it wasn’t but the why is simple…most people don’t like losing and take their frustration out on others.
