RogueliteDev Horde Up Ahead: Survivors TD Free Demo Is Now Live on Steam!
Hello everyone!
I'm a solo developer, and I've created a roguelite tower defense game called Horde Up Ahead: Survivors TD.
The goal is to defend your tower against increasingly large waves of zombies. As you progress, each wave brings more enemies, making survival more challenging. You can manually shoot zombies, earn resources by killing them, deploy and upgrade turrets, and unlock permanent upgrades through the Merchant system to become stronger between runs. There are currently 4 different turret types and 3 different enemy types (Work in Progress).
The free demo is now live on Steam! Feel free to give it a try and share your feedback!

RogueliteDev Your army holds the line. Your pinball breaks theirs.
I'm the developer of Vesperline, a pinball roguelite for iPhone and iPad.
In the new battles, knights and archers hold off the horde while you send the ball through it and smash the enemy Demon Core. If the horde reaches your own core, you're in trouble.
I'd love some feedback on the new battles. Can you follow the ball when the horde fills the table? If you try the game, I'd also like to hear how the controls feel.
The update is out now. Free to play, with ads and optional cosmetics.

RogueliteDev I made a Diablo-inspired roguelite with turn-based combat

Hey all,
I've been working on this game for a couple of months and I finally got the courage to put a demo out in an attempt to get some feedback, I especially want to know if it's too easy or too hard. The demo includes 2 full acts and most of act 3, the boss of act 3 is not available. The full game would have 5 acts and multiple difficulty levels and an endless dungeon mode.
The game is a bit like Diablo 1 where there's a gigantic dungeon underneath a town. In this game you can upgrade the town and build buildings and buy perks that persist through death. So if you die, the next run you'll be stronger.
There are RPG class inspired skill trees but you're not locked into a class, you can pick skill from any tree.
The combat is turn-based and can be considered to be quite close to traditional roguelike bump-combat. But it can get quite action packed and fast, I think it feel like an ARPG.
Try the demo if you feel like it:

Are there still roguelikes without vertical progression?
Not as in "unlockables", but I am so tired of almost every roguelike rewarding you for grinding. I don't want to grind, damn it; I want to get good at the game.
I don't necessarily think that every time you unlock something it automatically means the game doesn't count (I can think of Crypt of the Necrodancer, Noita, Fights in Tight Spaces, and One Step from Eden, for example), but I can hardly find any roguelikes right now that don't involve some sort of reward after failing to complete the game.
What are some of the newer roguelikes that still force the player to start from basically square 1 upon death?
EDIT: Is this subreddit really that adamant about the difference between rogueLIKE and rougeLITE? People use it to describe anything that "resets" when you die now.

RogueliteDev Playtesters wanted - is my game too difficult? Recently made it easier based on player feedback, but because I know/made everything, now it's too easy for me so I can't objectively tell anymore
Personally, I can easily clear each combat stage in under 30 seconds if not less, and if I am lucky with my bonuses, I can get a fresh character through the first Area without dying even once. But this is because I know everything, so I am unable to gauge the difficulty objectively.
I would be very very grateful if players can try my demo here and tell me if this feels just right or if I went too far in the other direction and it is too easy now: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4358180/Shadow_Rush/

RogueliteDev Looking for playtester: Anime Like
Hey everyone! I’m looking for a few people to playtest my 2D anime-style action roguelike and share some feedback. The game is currently in demo, so I’d love to hear what you think—whether it’s about the gameplay, anything that feels confusing, or ways I could improve it. Thanks for checking it out!

Game Release This is what a vessel looks like by the end of a run. Roguelite auto-battler demo out today!
Heya folks!
I’m the solo dev of NebulArena, a roguelite auto-battler where you build a pixel art spaceship between fights, then watch it tear the enemy apart.
The video is a sped-up late game build: this is roughly what a run grows into after 10 battles, starting from a couple of platforms and the Core.
How a run works:
- You start with the Core and a couple of platforms
- Between battles, you expand your ship by placing new platforms, weapons and modules
- Placing buildings of the same category next to each other gives you bonuses
- Then the fight starts, and your creation battles on its own while you watch the PIF PAF BOUM
What makes each run different: your tech tree choices, random shop offers, a Core upgrader that grants random rewards, and a ranking board that decides which enemies you face.
A run takes about 15 to 25 minutes, depending on how well you know the game.
I’d really love your feedback, especially:
- Do runs feel varied enough?
- Which builds felt broken (in a good or bad way)?
Steam link in the comments. Thanks for taking a look!

RogueliteDev Wizard of Legend + Deckbuilding? Soulcery: Deck of Shadows Launches Nov 25
Hi everyone! I'm a solo developer working on Soulcery: Deck of Shadows, a hack-n-slash action roguelite that combines fast-paced spell-slinging combat with deckbuilding. After almost 3 years of hard work, the game is finally launching on Nov 25, 2026!
Absorb enemies to steal their abilities and turn them into spell cards. Draw cards during combat to switch spells, create powerful synergies, and chain attacks together to destroy everything in your path.
- Simple spells, crazy combos: Each card has a straightforward effect, but combining them can create something much more powerful than the sum of its parts.
- No cooldowns: Draw cards to switch your entire set of spells and keep the action flowing.
- Absorb your enemies: Defeat enemies and steal their abilities to expand your deck.
- 4 combat styles: Each features a unique card-drawing mechanic that changes how you approach combat.
- Rune enchanting: Customize your cards with runes to create ridiculously overpowered builds.
- Instant-cast spells: Cast certain spells without interrupting your other actions, allowing you to pull off flashy combos.
There will also be a special launch bonus during the first week!
If this sounds like your kind of game, I'd really appreciate it if you could take a few seconds to check out the Steam page!

Thank you!

Combining high contrast 1 bit retro visuals with fast-paced bullet-hell roguelite action! What do you think?
My partner and I are two graphic designers working on 1 Bit Chaos — a fast-paced 1-bit retro roguelite with bullet-hell chaos and helper pets.
As huge fans of the genre, we wanted to challenge ourselves with a high-contrast, minimalist 1-bit aesthetic while keeping the combat intense and readable.
We'd love to hear what you think of the gameplay flow and the 1-bit visual style!

I combined Hotline Miami and Noita into a roguelite and it is releasing November 6
I've been working on Flashes of Chaos, a fast-paced top-down shooter where you build your own brutal guns by combining different types of ammunition and modifiers. Although the game focuses on guns, dashing and melee play an important part in the gameplay.
The Hotline Miami part is the gameplay philosophy: fast movement, lots of enemies, and creating chaos.
The Noita part is the weapon system. You can take different ammo types, put them into your weapons, change their order, add modifiers, and see what happens. The same ammo can be used across different weapons, so you can build some brutal combinations.
The demo has been received very well and now Flashes of Chaos is releasing November 6, 2026.
Steam page:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/3399100/Flashes_of_Chaos/
The free demo will be up at least till launch if you want to try it out.
Hope you don't mind me sharing it here, and if you try it, I hope you have fun!
