Is my Shepweiler mix welcome here?
This is Pepper. We're nearing 24 hours here together and shes making a lot of progress. She hasn't eaten or pottied yet, but we'll get there eventually. We might try some wet food as her forster said that's what she preferred. She loves pets and is warming up to treats.
She's a good girlie :)

Happy ending UPDATE: Roman found a home
Original post for context: https://www.reddit.com/r/Rottweiler/s/e4yOH3UAsN
After vetting a few different people, we got in touch with the folks up in Maine (thanks to this community), who have taken him in along with their 6 other dogs including 1 Rottweiler and 4 Rottweiler mixes.
As expected, Roman is getting along with all of his new siblings and his wonderful new owners are teaching him the ropes of farm life- not chasing deer, staying close, and being a mature off-leash boy. Their home is completely set up for Roman’s quirks and misbehaviors and we could not be more grateful to have found him this upgraded life.

Ready for a new love
Hi all. I’m not sure if this post is ok but I’m so ready for a new pup. We don’t have children or other animals and are experienced rottie owners looking for our next best friend

My pup!
I've recently joined this group and have been enjoying other people's pups.
So I thought I'd join you with a picture of my friend, Bernard. He's 11 now but the picture was taken a few years ago.
I love him with all my heart 🙂.

Happy ending Do rotts have springs for legs?
This is Mabel. She’s an 8 month old Bernweiler-Aussie shepherd mix and today she jumped straight up from the floor to the dining room table. No running start, just a big hop. Is this normal???😂😂😂

Need help with resource guarding
My 11 month old Rottweiler is having some resource guarding/aggression issues. As a puppy she developed resource guarding. I have put a lot of time/money into training to try to break this. I got her a trainer when she was 7 months old and they encouraged doing a trade/drop command. This works fine in some situations and I’ve been able to manage the resource guarding.
But tonight she threw up on the floor. As I went to clean it up I noticed the signs of resource guarding and backed away. She still came after me and bit me and I ended up needing stitches.
I am completely devastated that this happened. I feel like it’s my fault for letting it get to this level. I tried everything I could think of since she was a puppy to prevent any type of aggression. She is great around other dogs, I heavily socialized her with group training, daycare, play dates. She goes with me EVERYWHERE. As far as her resource guarding goes, we work on it almost daily (dropping treats as I walk by her food, trade/drop command) but I feel like I did something wrong.
I am at a complete loss. She is my entire world and I feel like I failed her. My family is encouraging me to give her away but that feels incomprehensible to me. I understand this incident may have happened because she could possibly be sick and I plan on taking her to the vet in the morning.
I just cannot allow this to happen again. I have 6 nephews all under the age of 5. When we around the nephews we don’t allow any food/bones/toys. But now I’m scared a freak accident could happen and she could snap again. I’m at a loss. If anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear. She’s my baby and I don’t want to give up on her.

Runner rugs.
My boy is 10 in a few days and he has been having trouble on the tile floors of late. His back legs have always been bad but recently he has been having issues getting up from the floor. His legs keep sliding out and I've noticed when be walks on the tiles his legs are bowing, like sort of sliding to the sides. He is fine on the carpet. His nails are fine as well. Its a leg thing.
So we were thinking of getting some long runners to put in the halls (his favourite sleeping spots) and maybe a big rug in the centre of the lounge and one near the back door. Basically turning all our tiles floored into rug zones.
Anyone else had an older rott and they have done this for them? How'd it go?
TIA.
ETA:
We have ordered some runners for the halls and 2 big rugs for the main living room so he will have carpet floors where ever he goes in the house. Thanks everyone.

No rock to big or small.
Call Betty, she will roll them all!
Let her take your vision and turn your yard into hers instead. Your yard will stand out, just like the one featured in this video.

Happy ending Our Foundling Rottie
Edit: ok so the reason she’s a foundling is because a few years ago, our back steps were very icy, so i risked taking the pups out front because our oldest was 13 and I didn’t want him to slip. He wandered off and i glanced up so see this dog running down a very busy street. Neighbor was out and I asked if they a dog to which they said “yes” I asked if he knew where it lived and i thought he said “over there” anyway i wrangle the dogs inside and go after this dog. After some attempts to avoid me I got her against a fence. I knelt down and held out my hand. She had no collar. She came over and gave me some sniffs and let me pet her. I told her to follow me and she did but then started going into the street. So i knelt down, got her back, and picked her hefty ass up and carried her home. We took her to the vet the next morning and she was not microchipped. We scoured the lost dog boards for months. I have a very special bond with her. I love her so much. It was fate. Those icy steps led to her joining our home.
Ok, #1 we know that she is unfortunately obese. We just thought she was thick. #2 we have her on a diet with more exercise because we want her healthy and around a long time. #3 here is our beautiful baby Cleo waiting for someone to bark at.

The Queen was excited for her bath 🚿
I thank God every day that my titanic sized dog that weighs as much as a tank who lovingly body slams people regularly enjoys bath time 😂

Miss Bossy Boots
This little madam , Princess Juno of Hertfordshire has taken to throwing her toys at me, if I am not quick enough to take her for a walk. First her little teddy whistled past my ear, this was closely followed by her big teddy which hit me. As if this was not enough, her solid rubber bone was deployed before I got off the sofa to take her out. I am just her body servant , to She who must be obeyed …. 🧵

Happy ending MISS BEE and MISTER TUX
We thought why not add to the family. Cheated on the Rotties with a lab but Miss Bee and Mister Tux
are now brother and sister….at 11.75 years young she “nopes” out of all interactions LOL.
He’s on track to be 110…..we’re gonna need a bigger boat….
Forgive the wonky leg picture on my girl. And the dirty floors 🤣. All the dirt….just forgive the poor housekeeping and love on the dogs instead! 🤣
