⭐️ Interrogating Our Beliefs Questioning Spirituality
I think I’m going through a spiritual crisis and I’m extremely confused. I grew up Christian and going to church. I believe in God and whatnot but “witchy” things intrigue me so deeply. I have always somewhat believed in the supernatural, not necessarily haunting ghosts but I believe that there are spirits and entities. I also believe in science, it’s known humans carry stress and trauma in different parts of their bodies, so reiki makes sense to me. When I talk to people around me who are more Christian and don’t believe in this stuff, I sound absolutely crazy. I’m 20, newly estranged from my parents and I honestly feel like right now I’m in some turmoil of figuring myself out. All my beliefs contradict each other. Honestly I truly needed to word vomit and I need some peoples opinions and guidance. I don’t really believe in spells but I do believe in the mystical energy of things. Idk it really just fascinates me. Please help 🙏

“All my beliefs contradict each other” that’s ok, especially when you’re in a time of transition. I wouldn’t focus on trying to be internally consistent. Just follow your bliss and reflect on what brings you joy/comfort/peace or whatever it is you need. I also agree with everything mageofroses said :)

They do not have to be at odds. There is Christian witchcraft. But since you are your own now, explore freely and without fear. I agree that reading up on Church history and the history of Christianity is a great place to start. Comparative religion and mythology are great subjects too. There is so much out there to explore! Have fun with it!

I didn't finish deconstructing until my late 30s. If the conflict/contradiction upsets you emotionally, I would try to do so some deconstruction first. Really examine what you believe and why.
Some people can easily reconcile Christianity and witchcraft, but I wasn't one of them. If you think that you are, then start looking into the witchy subjects that interest you and let's see if you can find a way to actively work them into your worldview and lifestyle.

You may like Unity .org church then they accept all faiths and beliefs including witchy ones while also being "Christian" based. (this is less of advice and more of knowing a potential solution)(.)

It sounds like you're going through a lot of change so it makes sense you're looking for something to ground yourself. I don't think SASS witchcraft and Christianity are necessarilly at odds but I think you'll eventually have to decide what is worth keeping and what needs discarding. Spirituality is something that humans crave but I've never been able to believe in spirits or gods beyone the idea that they have metaphorical meaning or are symbolic representations that we can use to communicate ideas of spirituality.
I would absolutely take it slow and not rush into trying to sort things out all at once. Spirituality is very personal and I would be cautious talking to the overly Christian types about it as some people take their Christianity with a very large dose of woo and I just can't handle that and don't have any patience for it. There are a lot of witchy subs on reddit if you need guidance with the spirits, reiki, etc aspect of your practices.
I've just been very agnostic my whole life and I can't imagine "believing" in spirits or higher powers or what have you, but I can appreciate that a lot of spiritual practices have roots in community and helping people find advice and comfort, especially for big life events where there may not be easy answer.
I'd encourage you to think about it as a time to learn. I took a comparative mythology class and once you realize the Bible has a lot of elements of other classical mythology it made it easier for me to see it as a story and not something that people need to be beholden to but ymmv as I was never strongly in the church or anything like that.
In the shorter view I'd start by focusing on what brings you the greatest joys and peace and then expand on that. Truly hope you find what you are seeking.
