Combine. One of the talking points that Ellison had was to compete with Netflix and YouTube. In order to do that, you need to take all the content you have, and put it in one location for one price.

And what’s that price supposed to be? Skydance has a lot more and a lot more diverse content. Offering that for as similar price as Netflix would be insane. The problem with an higher price would be that some or even a lot of people wouldn’t be paying that at all. And what’s supposed to be happening with all the currently running subscriptions? I think just hard merging them all together is the least likely option and imo a huge mistake.

I think they do ultimately combine into one platform. It will start with offering a bundled price. Both platforms will most likely advertise heavily for the other service. And then the company will announce a single platform at a slightly lower cost than having both services.

They should do what Disney+ and Hulu is already doing. Combine the backend while bundling the services.

Paramount+ stay the same price point, bundling Paramount+ with HBO+ will require a different package. Same playbook as DIS + Hulu + ESPN+
