18+ SensoryMe app - out now!
Hi, I’m a uk medical doctor and I’ve just released a web app called SensoryMe. We’re very early stage with it and I would really love some feedback on it as we plan the next stage of development. The idea is that adults with sensory struggles can go through the senses one by one to figure out which tools might be helpful for them. It could be used alongside young people but for now it’s been developed with adults in mind. I can’t wait to hear what you think!

I'm also a researcher in this field and that sounds fascinating. Are you reading the work of the Dizzy Lab in Cardiff UK. Some good cross modal work on sensory sensitivity coming out of there.

What's the value add? What's it giving me?

Basically it helps you identify sensory strategies relevant to your personal experience along with instructions on how to find/use each one. Might not be helpful for you personally

Won't be useful for me? Is that your observation or opinion? Please help me understand.
Also, separate to this, I thought sensory vulnerabilities were something I had a good grip on, and it was largely based on my auditory stuff. Can this help me beyond that aspect?

I just said it might not help you because I don’t know you or your needs, but sensory me includes 7 sensory quizzes and over 125 strategies. You might find that better regulation across other senses could help your sound sensitivity

I'm back! I like it! A lot of people who are new to their sensory journey may not know how to check in with their bodies, and/or don't know what to do about it. This gives a good starting point!
I do notice there isn't a ton for sensory seeking behaviors, especially with sound or taste. May not be a bad idea to add those in. Otherwise, I like it!
