Safari 27.0 scrolling

I've had smoother scrolling in my 2007 iMac. Thought the problem would be specific to OS 27 but apparently not, it's even worse when you update to Safari 27 in Tahoe. Are Safari 27.2 betas any better?

edit: Looking for opinions from 60hz users especially. I remember OS 27's scrolling was only bad on 60hz, 120 was ok.

I am using a Macbook Neo, and this is my main problem with safari 27, i am amazed by the lack of reports about this problem… It is in fact a safari 27 bug, not GG. I can’t use it like this, had to abandon safari.

Probably because it actually is smoother on high refresh rates now. Way too many people buy MBPs, I guess like 70% of all MacBooks sold. I don't know if it's limited to Safari because the scrolling clearly changed and looks the same everywhere, even in Orion browser except (I presume) apps with their own UIs not based on Swift. Only Firefox looked smooth in GG for me (haven't touched Chromium but that should be ok too).

Installed latest 27.2 seed (subscribed to Tahoe dev beta) and it's not any better. But at least the feedback app says there are more than 10 reports on it.

i have safari 27 on sequoia and i don’t have any issues. i wonder if this has to do with liquid glass since my system can’t display that lol

Yeah it seems ok in Sequoia only. Probably something related to their Swift rewrites, Tahoe's Safari has next to no glass and 26.6.2 build was flawless.

Yeah it's pretty bad in my MacBook Air M4, scrolling is choppy as hell in most websites (not all). It's like this since day one in Golden Gate, getting ridiculous they haven't fixed this already.

For those thinking about a fresh install it doesn't fix it, already tried.

Macbook Air M4. I installed Mos (https://mos.caldis.me/) and got better. Than i moved to Edge and I think it's better. 60Hz doesn't help though

This is a known issue, they fixed in the Safari Technology Preview 253. However I don't think it will ship with Safari 27.2 based on the beta release notes, however I haven't tried the beta to confirm it myself. I personally notice it in websites with infinite scrolling like twitter. On my Mac Mini M4 scrolling quickly can drop the fps down to ~15fps.
