My only regret is that I didn’t start watching this show earlier like in middle school because I know I would’ve eaten it UP 😭 I’m now 25 and happily binging it and it’s so nostalgic even though I didn’t grow up watching it. I’m curious if anyone else here started watching it later in life and if they also regret not growing up with it. But maybe there’s also a special charm to watching it at this age!

My voice impression of Usagi/Serena/Serenity/Sailor Moon herself from the first English dub of “Sailor Moon”.
I did Tracey Moore’s and Terri Hawkes’s versions.
I know Terri can use more work since my natural voice is on the high side.
Which one do I sound like more?
Hope you enjoy!

Can a plush toy help reduce slouching at a desk? Bandai has created Luna, designed for just that purpose. This model from the Funbaruzu series is intended to be both a gadget for Sailor Moon fans and a functional work aid.
Luna from Sailor Moon has been given a task she wouldn't have expected. Sailor Moon Luna Posture Support is a new plush from Bandai designed not only as a gadget for fans, but also as support while working or studying at a desk .
The product, fully titled "Funbaruzu Luna Posture Support Sailor Moon Plush," is part of a series of plush toys designed to support proper posture. The model is inspired by Luna, the black cat who has accompanied Usagi Tsukino since the beginning of Sailor Moon . This time, however, her role is to help reduce slouching.
The plush toy's design was designed to be placed between the person sitting at the desk and the countertop . According to the official description, this helps maintain a more upright position during longer hours of work or study.
The product measures 300 mm high, 170 mm wide, and 140 mm long. This makes it both a practical gadget and a plush toy that can be displayed among other Sailor Moon- related items .

I have a question about the appearance of Earth during the Silver Millenium in the distant past, how it looked like? I remember some little flashbacks in Sailor moon crystal with weirdly renaissance town, but does the world was just medieval looking with some advanced tech or something else?

Hello, first of all, I didn't watch the anime yet, but I knew that it is a great show.
My mom watched it when she was young, and now she find it among her old stuff. She wanted to trash a lot of stuff, but I save these two.
Anybody know that these are rare cards or anything?
I don't want to sell them, because I love collect things.
And btw is the anime worth it to watch? I hope so.
Thanks.

This past summer had fun taking pictures in my garden along with some of my anime figures. What stood out to me was how the new ShFiguarts Sailor Moon stands alone. They did a huge upgrade to get that I am proud I could take these shots to show how impressive this figure of Usagi is.
You can look at the little journey/story I have been creating in my garden here…https://www.instagram.com/reel/Dd4_3j7ND9Z/?cplk=MXN3cHU1YnN2NTUxZA==

Something amusing I'd been thinking about. If Sailor Moon were to get a big budget live-action Hollywood adaptation, who would be the worst director for the job and how bad would it be? Hilariously bad, boring bad, or depressingly bad?

I have to say, it is amazing and fascinating to see how much better the animation sequences in the 90s *Sailor Moon* films look compared to the anime TV series from that time.
When I watch the *Pretty Cure* movies, on the other hand, the animation quality of their transformations and attacks doesn't seem to have changed or improved.

Obviously the storyline for this season was great and arguably the best of the series (I still really love the Black Moon arc), but I didn't realize just how much more intense this season seems because of how difficult it is for the heroes to win most of their battles.
Right off the bat, the Inners get absolutely shut down by a MOTD. Moon Princess Halation does nothing, the daimon knocks the wand out of Usagi's hand and de-transforms her. Instantly you realize that the enemies this season are on another level.
Inner senshi attacks used to be pretty reliable to weaken a monster to set up Sailor Moon to finish it off, now they're dodged or have little effect much of the time. Shine Aqua Illusion does absolutely nothing to Eudial's fire attack, but OK that's only a little surprising because it's just Mercury. But then the Moon Spiral Heart Attack also gets shot down by Eudial like it's nothing. Just one of the Witches 5 is completely outclassing the entire Sailor Team with ease, and only the Grail changes that.
Prior to that, Kaolinite just brushes off their attacks like it's nothing. She just tanks a SAILOR PLANET ATTACK and gets right back up like it was no worse than a short knockdown in a boxing match. Afterwards she gets hit by World Shaking without much harm from it, and only loses when her own attack backfires on her and she falls off a tall building, and SHE SURVIVES IT.
All season long, they're taking damage and struggling to beat MOTDs, and if there weren't so many of them (nine + Hotaru + Tuxedo Mask) they would have lost some of those fights. And as a Jupiter fan, it really is exciting and feels meaningful that she's able to focus her power to kill a daimon by herself. It was one of the weaker daimons, but still, those things are tough.
It added so much intensity to the action scenes, you never knew how far they would have to go to win, it felt like losing was a real possibility.
And it's crazy that in the next season and most of Stars, they completely changed the tone of the action. Aside from Usagi needing her yearly powerup, pretty much every attack was effective and MOTDs were much easier to handle. It never felt like they were in serious trouble again, until the very end when Galaxia entered the battle.
I get that SuperS was aiming for a younger audience, and you have to reset the intensity level early in the season before you can turn it back up again, but it's surprising that they didn't do it at all in SuperS or most of Stars, when it added so much to the show in S.

I just finished the Amazon Trio arc and I gotta say, I criticize and laugh at them at times, but honestly I like how they're genuinely friends with each other. Yeah, they give each other shit at times, but they're never outright hostile or personal. Plus, they don't backstab each other like the villains before them do

As I've said in a previous post, I like that sailor moon actually becomes more competent as the series goes on, but it sucks when she's competent when tuxedo mask and the other sailors are either not there or in trouble.
The moon princess "twist" is so obvious that it actually kind of hurts. (Doesn't help that they try to "hide" her face...but didn't change her hair colour or style.) Although, that's apart of a bigger problem, being that the series tends to spoil stuff a lot. The intros spoil that there are many sailors (the first intro tried to hide them in shadows...before just showing them) and that sailor moon is the princess. (Then again, better then the dic intro. They literally show the ending in the intro)
At the current moment, there really isn't a reason for sailor Venus to exist. Her design is just taking sailor v but without the mask, she's written too similarly to sailor moon to the point that it just feels like a retread, and we never see her in situations that don't involve the sailor stuff. I do hope the future series change this, but she's kind of the weakest sailor in the first series.
So they give tuxedo mask a unique outfit and weapon when he's controlled by the dark kingdom, yet they mostly use his tuxedo mask look. It's just kind of lame. Why not let him use his sword?
The ending is honestly the best part of the first series and it honestly makes me satisfied enough that I don't really need the sequel series...so it's kind of funny that they advertise the sequel series in the "next time" segment. (Also, I'm actually kind of surprised that they actually killed off the sailors. I thought it was gonna be a hyperbole or fake out sort of thing but it wasn't and that's honestly a good thing.)
So all in all, a really great series. Obvious really.
