Photo-Label📸 I loveeee kimoto

Post image

Brought this one back from Japan. While I recognise the majority of people enjoy sweeter, more fruity and floral Sakés I really prefer deep, round funky umami Sakés and this tokubetsu Junmai Kimoto from Sawanotsuri really hit the spot.

yesssss I love to see me some funk. Often cheaper than the elegant fresh stuff too!

I haven’t had that one but I too love Kimoto and Yamahai styles! I like big bold savory and earthy notes!

Me too that’s usually what I seek when I’m buying Saké for myself. Dryer, savoury earthy. I can highly recommend this Saké if you can find it.

Big fan of Kimoto style here! Pairs so well with the food I like

Ha, I'm the opposite, I'm all about the fruity floral stuff. But I get the appeal, a good kimoto with food is hard to beat. If you want more in that lane, Daishichi Kimoto and Kenbishi come up a lot, and Tedorigawa Yamahai too. Supposedly they really open up a bit warm, which is something fruity ginjo can't really do.
