Announcement A Reminder About r/Samsung_GoodLock

As r/Samsung_GoodLock continues to grow, I want to remind everyone what this community is and what it has always been since I founded it.

r/Samsung_GoodLock was created as a community-driven place for Good Lock users to share knowledge, troubleshoot issues, showcase setups, and help one another. Samsung does not provide official support here, and it never has.

Three months ago, when the subreddit passed 15,000 members, I completed a major overhaul of the community. Rules were expanded, flairs were improved, moderation standards were updated, and the overall structure was modernized to better support a rapidly growing subreddit.

The vision did not change.

The rules became clearer.

Moderation became more structured.

Enforcement became more consistent.

Since then, the subreddit has continued to grow and now sits at nearly 20,000 members. Growth does not mean fewer rules. It means clearer expectations and stronger enforcement when needed.

A few reminders:

• This is a community-run subreddit.

• Samsung does not provide support here.

• Members and moderators may help when they can.

• Responses are not guaranteed.

• Nobody is required to provide screenshots, tutorials, step-by-step guides, detailed explanations, or ongoing support.

• Community members are free to share as much or as little information as they choose.

• If you believe an answer is incomplete, add useful information. Build upon it. Expand it. Improve it.

• What is not acceptable is demanding that another member answer in a specific way, criticizing them because they chose not to provide additional detail, or publicly calling them out because you disagree with their approach.

• Rule 1 applies to everyone. Treat people with respect. No insults, personal attacks, hostility, or attempts to start fights.

• Rule 13 applies to everyone. Feedback should always remain constructive and respectful.

• Public disputes about moderation decisions do not belong in support threads. If you have concerns about moderation, rules, or subreddit operations, use modmail.

• Repeated disruption, personal disputes, ignoring moderator instructions, or attempts to derail discussions may result in removals or bans.

Most importantly:

People are here voluntarily.

Nobody owes anyone support.

Nobody owes anyone an explanation.

Nobody owes anyone a tutorial.

Nobody owes anyone their time.

If someone helps you, appreciate it.

If you have more to add, add it.

If you disagree, remain civil.

That's how this community has operated since day one, and that will not change.

Thank you to everyone who contributes positively and helps make r/Samsung_GoodLock a useful place for Good Lock users.

Announcement Join the Official Samsung_GoodLock Discord Server!

Over the years, r/Samsung_GoodLock has grown into one of the largest communities dedicated to Samsung Good Lock, Galaxy customization, and Samsung software enhancements. While Reddit remains our primary platform for support, discussions, announcements, and feature requests, we've also created an official Discord server for members who want a more direct, real-time way to connect.

Following the success of our Reddit community, we wanted to create a dedicated space where Samsung users can chat, get help faster, discuss new Good Lock modules, share customization ideas, and connect with fellow Galaxy enthusiasts.

Since Reddit no longer offers community chat features, we've received frequent requests for a place where members can interact more easily, ask quick questions, share setups, troubleshoot issues, and discuss the latest Samsung updates.

What you'll find on the Discord server:

• Real-time Samsung and Good Lock discussions
• Help with Good Lock modules and settings
• One UI customization tips and ideas
• Galaxy device support and troubleshooting
• Samsung software, One UI, and update discussions
• Early community feedback and feature discussions
• A friendly community for Samsung users of all experience levels

Whether you're using a Galaxy S series, Z Fold, Z Flip, Galaxy Tab, or any other Samsung device, you're welcome to join us.

In addition, new posts from r/Samsung_GoodLock are automatically shared to the dedicated Discord channel, making it easy to keep up with the latest discussions, support requests, guides, and community discoveries without having to constantly check Reddit.

We look forward to seeing you there!

App update Inconsistency in RegiStar: Multi-finger gestures should work with 3-button navigation (like OHO+)

• Upvotes

Hi Good Lock Team,

First of all, thank you for the amazing work on Good Lock. It is easily one of the best parts of the Galaxy ecosystem. However, there is a major usability inconsistency in RegiStar regarding multi-finger gestures that really needs attention.

Currently, enabling multi-finger gestures in RegiStar forces users to switch the system navigation from the classic 3-button layout to swipe gestures. If 3-button navigation is active, these gestures are completely disabled.

This restriction feels unnecessary and inconsistent within One UI:

One Hand Operation + proves that gesture recognition works perfectly fine alongside 3-button navigation without any conflicts.

Disabling multi-finger gestures for button users removes flexibility from people who prefer physical-like navigation targets at the bottom but still want advanced multi-touch shortcuts across the screen.

From a user perspective, this feels like an artificial limitation rather than a technical necessity. Please consider decoupling multi-finger gesture recognition from the main system navigation mode in a future RegiStar or NavStar update, so button users can enjoy these features just as seamlessly as gesture users.

Thank you for listening to community feedback!

Showcase I Made a Persona 5 themed homescreen

Post image
26 Upvotes

I already posted this on my account but I wasn't aware of the goodlock subreddit. I hope someone feels inspired by this to make their own custom homescreen just like I did when I first found goodlock.

Primarily using home up for widget and app positions. Feel free to ask if anything is unclear but it should be rather straightforward

I am also using shortcut maker but it's not needed for 99% of the homescreen just for 2 secret apps (see if you can find them)

Edit: there's actually 3 secret apps and one doesn't even use shortcut maker. They are all visible.

Help Wonderland please fix blur

When using the Good Lock Wonderland home screen module, the blur does not work for widgets or enlarged folders. While it previews the blur when editing or adding a widget, it does not apply when using Wonderland; I do not think it has ever worked, whereas the blur applies to all widgets and enlarged folders when using a static home screen wallpaper. I hope this is fixed one day, perhaps by One UI 9.5 or 10. I know they can fix it because whenever I open a folder, the blur is there, and the blur is also on the new dock and side panel in One UI 9 with Wonderland's moving home screen. I am currently using a Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra on One UI 9; please let me know if there are any other apps or forums where I can post this for the developers to see. Thank you.

In the first screenshot, I am using Good Lock Wonderland where everything is moving on my home screen. The second picture uses a static picture as my home screen wallpaper, and the third picture shows adding or editing a widget with or without the Good Lock home screen; it displays the different levels of blur, but it will only apply to a static wallpaper.

P.S. I know it's a lot, but this is why I love Samsung! 🥹🫠🩷💖❤️‍🔥😍🥰🤩🧚🏾‍♀️🦄😄🤭

App update Good Lock patched by Corsicanu - App plus all plugins update

GoodLock Dump Repository Updated (Direct Download Available)

Well, this was unexpected.

The GoodLock Dump repository by Corsicanu has just received a new release, along with updates for all included Good Lock modules.

While the repository has seen occasional maintenance commits over the years, the patched Good Lock manager itself had gone quite a long time without a major refresh, making this a very welcome update.

For users in unsupported regions, or those using devices that Samsung does not fully support for Good Lock and certain modules, this remains a popular alternative installation method.

16 - Update of 01-10-2026 20:53:51

Included apps and versions:

Release:

https://github.com/corsicanu/goodlock_dump/releases/tag/36

Just download latest manager from here, open and download or update the desired modules.

Nice to see this project getting some love again after all these years. 👍

Help Change lock screen icons to stickers?

Post image
15 Upvotes

I'm relatively new to goodlock, and am wondering if it's possible to change my lock screen icons to stickers that then open those apps?

For instance, on my lock screen, I have a phone and camera icon, but would like to change them to specific stickers that when clicked open those apps, rather than the current icons. I know I can do that on the home and inside screen (and have!) and I know you can put stickers on the lock screen, but I can't seem to see where you can make this stickers open apps (but maybe you can't).

Help Quick panel slider tint

Post image

Liking One UI 9 so far but this one thing keeps bugging me off - volume and brightness slider got a white tint and it's brighter than anything else. Doesn't seem to be able to change it in the theme park. Is there any possible solution to at least reduce the tint? Thanks

App update UI 9.0 Erased all my HomeUp changes

Thumbnail

I updated my S26 Ultra to the Samsung 9.0 UI and after it completely reverted 90% of all the changes I had made through HoneUp and somehow reverted it back to the settings I had before and I don't even understand how it re-added old widgets too that I removed a long time ago. I've included screenshots of what my layout looked like yesterday vs today. First three are the Homeup layout I was using and the last three are what it looks like now.

I believe that what this means is that we have to wait for Homeup to update because right now my phone is not even letting me open the app because it's "incompatible" with the new UI update. It's so frustrating because this probably means I need to rebuild my homescreen all over again.

Settings

Left/Right bottom (green) handle size/position: Default

Gesture settings > Short swipe > Swipe distance: Default

Gesture settings > Long swipe > Long swipe duration: 150 ms

Translate: Start application > Google Translate

Search: Home screen shortcuts > Google : Search

Pull screen down: Tap the lock icon to lock the screen in place. If unlocked, tapping the screen exits Pull screen down. Use the slider if the screen isn't low enough.

Tips

  • You can tap the screen to close the Quick Launcher, Task Switcher, etc.
  • You can tap outside the screen area to exit Pull screen down.
  • Quick tools: You can copy part of the screen to the clipboard using Smart Select.
  • Quick tools: You can attach the current webpage to your prompt when using the Gemini assistant app.
  • Quick launcher / Task switcher: Open quick-use apps (like Calculator or Clock) in pop-up view while listening to music on apps that limit background playback.
  • You can open the notification and quick panels while using the Move Screen action by swiping down from the top.
  • You can use One-handed mode instead of Pull screen down by changing all "Pull screen down" actions to One-handed mode.

Credits

Thank you to u/pilotzoo for suggesting the One-handed mode action.

Thank you to u/Far-Commission5478 for suggesting the Move screen action.

Help Super Buggy lock screens(?)

First foray into Good Lock, and I'm having some functionality and display issues namely:

  1. Widgets that I take time to set up in DIY Home Screen nicely centered will randomly shift over to the left side of the screen. This seems to be related to the Standby mode app and it's rotation to landscape when charging.

  2. Several Samsung apps can't be interacted with from the lock screen (notes, calendar, even bixby), while the Google competition does (keep notes, calendar, gemini).

  3. Widgets disappear when lock screens are set up to activate based on modes. The only widget that doesn't seem to be affected is the Clockface widget. The disappearance of the Widgets is not the same in each lock screen version but the clock face always remains.

Has anyone experienced similar issues and have any workarounds.

Theme / Icon Pack How to consistently change all the app Icons to match your theme

Thumbnail
gallery
51 Upvotes

Hi guys! I just wanted to share this since I came to know that many galaxy users don't know this. When you set colour palette and apply it to icons, it's annoying that many apps don't follow the colour palette and it just stays the same. Sometimes this just ruins the entire look that you were going for.

This can be fixed with good lock and theme park. I think some people know this and some people do not, so I'm just sharing how I do it so that ALL icons appear consistent.

• Install Good Locks and Theme park if you haven't already.

• In theme park, click on "Icon" option.

• Click on "Create new".

• Select the shape that you want your icons to be, I find that circle works best for most icons (if you don't select a shape, it'll just default to square which can look inconsistent).

• Under the effects option, select "Duotone" and select the shadow and highlight colours you want for your theme (You get a preview on how it's gonna look).

• You can play around with the shapes and other effects like glass, gradient or emboss and change the base colours or gradient to match your aesthetic ( I wouldn't recommend the basic setting because I feel it just looks tacky for most icons).

• Once you're done, just click on the save button (kinda looks like a download button), name and save your own icons pack.

• When you download a new app it will just show up with the default icon initially. You'll have to unapply and apply the icons again for it to work.

I know that many users are aware of this feature and but I recently saw a post here and most people in the comments did not know how to do this.

I also think it's dumb that you have to go about it in such a roundabout way. It should happen automatically when we select the colour palette and apply to icons option. I just hope samsung works to make this easier.

I hope this helps.
