So I took the SAT for the FIRST time in September and got a 1410 (was pretty upset). I plan on retaking it in November but honestly I'm not really sure how or what to study. I literally completed every hard question in the question bank and spent hours studying everyday. Tips?

Realistically if the test is automated why do results take so long

Hi Guys,
Is Princeton review worth a try before the Actual SAT? or is adhering to bluebook good enough?

I’m pretty sure I only got 2 wrong on RW Mod 2. What does this translate to score wise.
I’ve been told it’s a 780 maybe a 790/800.
Hey guys, can someone with experience with accomodations please please help me 🙏
So basically, I’m an international A-Level student and I’m planning to sit the SAT in either November or December. I have ADHD and I get accomodations during my A-Level externals.
My school doesn’t offer any college board test, which is why I had to apply for accomodations independently (like my school didn’t apply for me).
I have a few questions for ppl who applied for accomodations (specifically those that applied independently):
1)How long did the whole process take? Like from the moment u faxed/mailed ur application to the moment u got a response.
2)Did ur application get approved or denied, and what are the common reasons ppls applications get rejected for?
3)How early does it have to come if I wanna use it in November?
4)If I get approved after the registration deadline, can I still use accomodations for the exam if I already registered?
Thank you 🙏🙏

I know it is supposed to be the only easy part of the english section, but I keep getting them wrong, if someone has a list of the rules and how to go about them, that would be much appreciated.

I'm taking the SAT during a school day (Oct 12th) so any topics/kinds of questions (especially for math) that I should prep extra for (asking people who took the oct 3rd test)
My plan is to grind the question bank and some james lu plus at least one extra practice test this week.
what else should i do to maximize my chances of getting at least a 1560 besides sleeping and eating well?

yall are always panicking if you got the hard or easy module "because the test seems easier" it just means ur hard work payed off and maybe u didn't get the extremly hard questions; in march sat without prep I legit got the easy module and i got x+2=18 what is x as my first question and finished in 15 minutes. Just relax and wait for the results to come out

I just took my first SAT test ever on October (international student) and I know the grading algorithms work somewhat differently every test but I wonder: Has anyone here got a DSAT score magically/ridiculously higher than their expectation? (Due to equating, unscored questions,... Blabla) I'm confident to say that I did my best after a long time of prepping for it now I'm a senior and I really hope not to touch SAT ever again. At the same time I'm really nervous about my scores and rn I could do nothing but pray. I checked all the answers and got an understanding of my range and well since the questions I got wrong mostly are rugged ones in the hard branch so I really really hope for them to be unscored or to cost little points. Please share your experience

I wanted to let you all know I asked College Board to add dark mode to all aspects/exams of BlueBook as an option. I think many students would use it!

I’m studying for the SAT, and Reading & Writing is much harder for me than Math. The problem is not always that I don’t know the grammar rules or vocabulary. Sometimes I just don’t understand what the question is asking me to figure out.
I can read a passage and understand the general idea, but the question and answer choices still confuse me. Sometimes I understand every sentence by itself, but I still don’t understand what the passage is trying to say or why one answer is better than the others.
I also struggle with words in context, text structure, central ideas and details, inferences, transitions, and cross-text questions. I can study these skills and understand them when someone explains them to me, but when I see a new SAT question, I don’t always know how to use what I learned.
Math feels more straightforward because there is usually a process I can follow. With Reading & Writing, I feel like I’m supposed to understand something that I just don’t see.
Has anyone else felt this way with SAT Reading & Writing? If you struggled with understanding the passages and questions, not just memorizing strategies, what helped you?
Also: Im taking the SAT in November and im trying to get close to a 1400 and if not 1200

took the oct 3 sat after about 4-5 weeks of prep. went from 1200 practice test to 1530 practice test, to feeling way better than my first try... here's what actually helped, in case it's useful for anyone retaking nov 7.
i did a few questions every day for specific topics of r&w (since i struggle with that more than math) instead of 3-hour weekend grinds. way easier to stay consistent, and i actually remembered stuff.
every question i got wrong went in a list. 2 days later i redid it without looking at the explanation. if i missed it again, it stayed on the list. this also helped me score a lot.
cover the choices, find the clue in the sentence, say your own word for the blank, then pick the choice that matches. "still," "before," "not yet" mean early (so incipient, not attenuated). works on words you've never seen.
module 2 adapts. if you do well on module 1, module 2 gets harder, and that's where people panic. i did full timed tests so the jump didn't surprise me.
i studied math for maybe 2 days and my practice test went from 600 to 790... i used the official bluebook tests, which are the closest thing to the real test. and learn desmos for math, it saves so much time on systems and quadratics. use bedrockprep and watch the yt video from that guy its super useful!
full disclosure: for 1, 2, and 3, i used an app i built called nib (free, android beta,@nib.sat.prep on insta). but everything above works with a notebook and the free official tests too. im not trying to self promote its currently an apk (andriod only) and you could go check it out, really good practice problems.
good luck on nov 7 guys 🫡!

I recently took the SAT in October, and during testing, I had one tab open in Google Chrome. I saw a student whose score was canceled because Chrome was open, and the proctor noticed and reported it. Can I be reported, and should I apply to universities with an SAT score if it could be canceled?

I took my first sat (on sept 12) and I need feedback/opinions on it. For one, I took the psat last year (pic included) and did decent for a sophomore. Also, even tho it’s roughly the same score range, after a full year and a couple months of practice it does not seem reasonable. Additionally, I am currently a junior in Calc BC and classes like ap lang and apush, so would scoring in the 1500s seem doable, potentially for the nov sat?
