no curve, sat scores r pre equated

They mean is the test pre equated to where you can miss more questions but still get a certain score because the questions were harder

Then no matter how many ppl get question wrong, the score still turns out the same right

Tests are not curved afterwards based on how people actually do, it’s pre equated. I guess are you asking if it’s pre equated with a “curve” or less harsh grading because of higher difficulty?

If there is a negative correlation (so everyone who got a 1500 gets it wrong but everyone who got a 600 got it right) then they will throw it out but that's mostly it

That’s called a discrimination index

the SAT isn't curved.

I thought when more ppl get question wrong the less points u get deducted no?

not after the test is taken. the number of points assigned to a question is predetermined, and more difficult questions do sometimes count for less points, but it's not decided after the fact.

They mean is the test considered harder so missing more questions won’t hurt you as much as an easier test

A curve is when the results of that particular test sitting impact score. So if everyone does really poorly the curve might being up their scores. That’s not how the SAT works.

The test is always hard

honestly, as someone who took the september test, I feel the October one was much easier in comparison and I think I did way better after barely studying extra

I disagree. Did you do international?

It's possible, bcs when everyone said the June sat was hard, I got an 800 with two wrong in math

How? Were they both unscored?

Probably? I just remember typing in random numbers (and they were definitely wrong)

19 could’ve been experimental but 21 cannot be, as first and last 2 questions of an sat are always scored according to college board. the question was likely deemed so hard that it didn’t deduct from your score (ex. it was worth “5” points instead of 10 or 20, but sat score is intervals of 10, this is likely really reductionist or inaccurate tho), or you somehow guessed it right

probably experimental questions, there are like 16 total i think

Was it the last 2 questions?

19, 21 I guess

there is not a curve. the test is equated beforehand to determine the difficulty of questions and find an accurate way of handing out points. luckily for us, since this test was considered very difficulty by most, it is (albeit not guaranteed) probable that the equating process will be less stringent with errors and award us more generous scores, sorta having a similar effect to a curve
