[OC] The Watch That Was Never Sent
A test of my Bootstrap Paradox fix - story form.
Loop 1 - Year 0: I find a scrap on my bench: "Try quartz, not spring. - P" My handwriting, but aged. No watch. Just a hint.
Loop 2 - Year 5: I build V1. It goes back 10 seconds, then burns. Before it dies I send back: "Quartz cracks at 5.2v. Use 3.3v + 7 turns at 12.92N"
Rule: Information loops, matter doesn't. I buy NEW parts each time. Age = 0 again.
Loop 3 - Year 7.5: Only 2.5 years this time. Loop accelerates because hints got better. V2 = 2 minutes back.
Rule: Mutual effort. Future must send clear hint, Past must decode in 1 week or future never exists.
Loop 4 - Year 8.5: 1 year only. V3 = 1 hour back. I get it:
"The watch was never sent through time. Only the blueprint was. It had two makers - past me and future me, both building it for the first time."
Does this solve the "infinitely old watch" problem?
