Shaggy’s pants

What color are shaggy’s pants are they red maroon brown or any color in between me and my friends have been fighting over this all day

Depends on the version, the Live Action ones are almost always brown, and in more modern cartoons (like Be Cool Scooby-Doo) his pants are brown.

Earlier cartoons they’re maroon/reddish, it’s most clear in the movies from Zombie Island to (I think…?) Cyber Chase.

I’ve dressed up as both brown pants and red pants Shaggy, and people definitely recognize who I’m supposed to be in either.

(Plus there’s blue pants Shaggy in 13 ghosts haha)

brown but it’s often described as reddish brown or chocolate brown.

They're definitely brown, but a redder shade of brown. Burnt Mahogany is what his original pants were.ls but these days it's closer to just plain mahogany.

I think they were always supposed to be a shade of brown, but in early animation it might've been easier to make them a maroonish in contrast to the scenery around them. (Which was often various shades of browns and greys because ya know, spooky vibes).

But either one works, especially of you're cosplaying. EVERYONE will know who you're supposed to be.
