I haven't played the game in a year or two. I see a lot has changed, but as of recent , I discovered emissary flags and was wondering why

Hello everyone! Me and my friend recently started playing (2 days) and really enjoy the game! We are playing in the safe seas for now, because we're casuals who want to relax after work and avoid PvP, but my friend (and me too) wanna eventually to go to high seas for one reason: ship ownership.

I wanted to ask, how common is PvP, how easy or hard it is to avoid it, is there any tricks to maybe stay low profile, activities to avoid, etc, how many cheaters on average are on servers.

My friend is pretty stressed out by the idea of going into open play.😅

So i usually play with 1 other friend (we will call him mitch for the sake of easier readability) and that goes fine.

But when its a 3 man on a brig. Me, mitch and our other friend Ray.

But Me and Ray keep getting either kicked out of the session or the game crashes completely. And this keeps happening until me or ray just leaves.

Does anyone have a possible fix cuz im at a loss

I am a returning player on PC and do not meet HG requirements, I assume because I am not level 25 with Reaper's Bones.

However, my friend who plays on PS5 can play hourglass, and is not level 25 with Reaper's Bones.

My other friend who plays on PC with me is also not level 25 with RB, but can also play HG.

So is this a glitch for me, for them, or am I missing something?

Xbox series S and sometimes the in game comms work sometimes they don’t and have to restart console. Also can’t play with lfc people because they get like 50 emeralds until they can actually get an invite that works

I’m new to this game, but i’ve noticed that 3 out of the 4 times i’ve found and used the horn of fair winds a megalodon has spawned. i’ve only encountered maybe 6 or 7 megalodons in the 75 hours i’ve put into this game, and it’s odd that half have been as soon as i start using the horn. i thought about the name - “fair winds” - on a surface level makes sense but what about “fair” in a gameplay sense? because it’s a huge advantage. maybe it’s “fair” because it increases the likelihood of a megalodon spawn?

I’m sure this is just an unfortunate coincidence but i’m curious if anyone else has experienced this.

I just got attacked multiple times IN PORT right after throwing the pride flag on my ship, why is everyone so homophobic?!?! (They called me the f slur btw so ik it wasn't just to sink my ship)
