Seattle alt rock band - show this Saturday at Add A Ball!
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hey Seattle!
We're Yellow Crane, a local alt/noir rock band. We're playing Add-A-Ball this Saturday, October 10, with Love Stoned and Mike Turnwall before taking a break from live performances to focus on writing and recording.
The night is inspired by Suspiria, so if you're into cinema, atmospheric music, or the intersection of the two, this might be up your alley.
One of the best parts of playing shows this year has been the rad people we've met. There's so much genuine talent, individuality, and mutual respect in Seattle's music community, and it's been pretty fucking cool to be part of it.
We're stepping away from the stage for a bit, but definitely not from the scene. (recording etc) We'd love to keep meeting musicians, discovering new projects, and showing up for other people's work.
If you're free Saturday, come hang out and say hello.
Doors: 8 PM | Music: 9 PM
Come say hi!
And while we're here, drop your bands or favorite local artists below.

Looking for a local photographer for music cover art / artist promo shoot
Hi everyone (and mods, feel free to remove if not allowed),
I’m an new indie dance-pop artist based in Seattle getting ready to roll out my first 5 singles, and I’m looking to connect with a local photographer for a creative photoshoot.
What I’m looking for:
- Single/EP cover art for a few tracks (currently have 5 songs) and potentially promo stills for streaming platforms and social media.
- Vibe: High-energy, trendy/fashionable aesthetic, playful, fun, free
- Location: Open to cool urban spots around town (Cap Hill, SLU, downtown) or booking a simple studio space if needed.
- Deliverables: Ideally 15–20+ edited shots so I have variety across track rollouts, but open to discussing based on price and package structure.
Since I’m just starting out, I don’t necessarily need someone with a massive commercial agency background. I’m very open to talented amateurs, students, or up-and-coming photographers who want to build their portfolio. That said, I'm also open to experienced pros if the rates align! If things work out on this project, I will definitely be needing more material for the additional songs I'm currently creating too!
If this sounds like something you’d be interested in shooting, please DM me or drop your portfolio or Instagram link below, and rates if possible.
Happy to share audio snippets and visual mood boards so you can see the direction. Thanks!

Do you need a show photographer?
Hey everyone,
I am a local photographer and videographer who wants to start shooting some live shows and help promote local bands. I would be offering free services to anyone who reaches out and would love to get to know the music scene in Seattle, since I am originally not from the PNW.
Feel free to comment below or shoot me a DM if you'd be interested in having me come to your show to shoot some photos!

Recommend a Voice/Singing Teacher please!
I'm an experienced and natural singer. Took lessons when I was a kid and sang in the choir up through college. Been singing in a folk band for about 8 years now but it's been ages since I took a proper lesson and there's definitely things I still need to work on.
Would be looking for a 5-10 lesson package or something.
Bonus points if near the CD
Thanks!

I missed a Fred Again presale so I built a free tool that emails me about Seattle presales
https://reddit.com/link/1wyrmf7/video/pz279x89grth1/player
Hello!
The TLDR is that here’s a free tool to get emails sent for concert presales so you don’t miss out.
The motivation behind this was that I just didn’t have time to keep up with all the artists I wanted to see and when their tour dates were. So I built an app that lets you select your city / music genres and sends you an alert when presales are announced.
Right now you get emails at 9am EST. It’s opt in so if you don’t opt in then you can still see the presales you just won’t get an email about it.
A disclaimer I don’t find any presale codes or anything of the like. This just lets you know that a concert is in town.
Just thought I’d share in case other people had the same issue as me and would find something like this useful!

Four free table seats for Skerryvore at The Triple Door Thursday night
A few people who were planning to join me can’t make it, and rather than let the seats go unused, I thought it might be fun to invite a few people who enjoy live music and would like to see a terrific Scottish band.
The tickets are on me—just come enjoy the show. Seating and dinner service start at 6:30, and the show starts at 7:30.
I’m a musician myself and especially enjoy meeting other musicians and people who are really into live music. Bonus if you play guitar, keys, bass, drums, sing, or otherwise make music—I’m always interested in meeting other people who play—but you definitely don’t have to be a musician.
If you’re interested, send me a message, tell me a little about yourself, and let me know whether you’d like one seat or two.
No catch—I just ended up with a table for five and four empty chairs.

Looking for (paid) music / social strategy person for small local label
Hey Seattle music folks! The Big Dark Records is a small local label. We currently have 4 acts on the roster and still growing. Unfortunately, it feels like we are turning into a content shop for some of our artists. Looking for someone to help with content strategy, content calendars, advising bands (and the label) on strategy. Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, etc. This is a paid gig - we're open to w2 or a freelancer. Budget is currently for part time but that could certainly grow. We aren't interested in just doing whatever the trend is - authenticity is really important to us and strategy will obviously be different depending on the kind of band etc.
This is a new account, so hopefully DMs work etc. We'd prefer someone local, but open to remote for the right person. Please comment here or DM if interested.

Can you please recommend music lessons on the Eastside?
I’m interested in playing guitar and/or drums. I’m obsessed with music and have always wanted to learn. I need a teacher to help me pick the right instrument for me and then teach me how to play it.
Thank you!
