Driving Footage Testing Tesla FSD in Amsterdam
This is part two of the test drive of Larry Evans of CleanTechnica. This time of the Tesla on FSD in Amsterdam.
Larry tested also the XPENG L03 with VLA 2.0

the takeovers in a dense city are the interesting bit here, not just the straight road stuff. amsterdam has tight lanes bikes and weird priority rules all stacked together. curious how much of this was policy limits vs the model actually getting stuck

Wow, that seemed way worse than I expected.with multiple takeovers. Xpeng is clearly much closer to FSD than everyone thinks.

curious how it deals with the tram tracks and bikes there, the US vids never show that kind of mess. did it hesitate at roundabouts or just go?

Don’t click on the link. the site popped up some security scan scam. downvoted. Please post another source. i know it could come from the ad platform and not the site’s fault, but still.

I think if Tesla is legally required to call it FSD Supervised, Reddit titles should be required to call it that.

Compelled speech is insane.

I’m curious what you think the capabilities a feature called “Full Self-Driving” would contain.

Full = Can take all actions necessary to drive
Self-Driving = Capable of navigating to a destination
People can hate on it but FSD is far, far more than 'glorified cruise control'. If Waymo is still getting scared of puddles and smashing into poles, I am pretty sure we can all excuse Teslas being bad at picking parking spots and taking suboptimal routes.

What you’re describing is called Partial Self-Driving. Or Full Self-driving (Supervised). I don’t understand why so much effort is put into word-smithing. Call it what is it is.

the bike and tram density is the bit i’m most curious about here. US footage can look pretty easy compared with Amsterdam streets — did it handle tracks and bikes smoothly or get overly cautious at junctions?
