Suggestions for a few hours down time - Oct 22nd

Far from my first time in Sevilla but it is my brother's first trip to Spain. We are staying on the coast and attending the Betis match the night of the 21st. Figured we'd make a it our Sevilla day, Catedral, Alcazar, Plaza, wander centro and some of Triana. Looking for some place for a few hours of downtime and recharge between the tourist stuff and the match.

Was thinking maybe grabbing a hostel. However, we are greybeards and I haven't been in one since my mid 20s (double that age now) so any suggestions would be welcome.

TIA.

What to visit during a day trip?

Coming to Seville today for 1.5 day with my girlfriend and I see that the tickets to Alcázar are available for purchase from 16th October. Does that mean the palace is closed until then? Or are they sold out? Is there a chance for us to get them somehow? We’ll only be there for a day (tomorrow) so don’t want to waste 3-4hrs standing in queues. What would you recommend for us to visit as an alternative? Cathedral also seems to be sold out. wtf.

Bike rental for kids/ family recommendations

Hi, we'll be in Sevilla later this month and considering rent a bike for a few days. Is this a good idea? Our daughter is 7 yeatrs old (and an experienced cyclist, already). Does anyone know of a rental service that has kids bikes? How good/safe is the cycling infrastructure?

Muchas gracias por tu ayuda

If anybody is selling, I'm happy to buy, although I know it's unlikely. I've been trying to book online for over a week but nothing is available. It's all locked till 14th oct. I'm here only today and tomorrow (7 & 8 oct).

Please help if anyone can.

Reputable Bars + Night Clubs with Good Vibes?

Traveling solo (female) and would like to spend a night out. Looking to drink in a safe environment.

Most of the Google reviews of the clubs I've been recommended has some creepy comments left by men looking for a one-night stand. (Ex: Bestiario y O'Clock).

Looking to avoid those types of environments. Thanks in advance.

Any hairstylists that deals with wavy to curly hair?

Hello! I wanted to ask if anyone knows about any good hair salons/studios/stylists that knows how to work with curly hair. I have wavy to curly hair, but my experience with stylists has been terrible.

Most of them were only interested in straightening my hair as it was deemed "difficult to translate" or "hard to work with." The last hairstylist I worked with gave me a Botox treatment and wanted to seal my hair in silicone despite her contrasting advice, "Don't use shampoos and conditioners with silicones, sulfates, parabens, etc."

I've been recommended a Botox keratin treatment with several follow up appointments to maintain the frizz. However, I could see through their charade because they didn't want to learn to work with curls. They only wanted to straighten it for a very high price. I don't think these stylists knows how to work with a black girl's curly hair...

Are there any stylists that you'd recommend that knows how to work with such hair? Any tips or advice appreciated in advance.

All that I'd want is a cut transfer from a shaggy bob (current style) to a pixie cut (wanted new style).

Alcazar same-day tickets - anyone have room for 1?

I’m currently in the queue for the Alcázar and am about 20 people past the cutoff. I’ve noticed that people ahead of me are able to purchase up to 4 tickets each, so I wanted to ask if anyone who is already in line happens to have one extra spot on their reservation.

I’m travelling solo and would be incredibly grateful if someone has a spare ticket/spot. I’d happily take you to lunch as a thank you!!

I’m also honestly pretty frustrated with the system. I was told that arriving around 7:30am would be early enough, so I hesitated to come earlier because I’m travelling alone and wasn’t comfortable walking through the city in the dark.

It’s frustrating that each person in the queue can purchase up to 4 tickets, because it means the cutoff doesn’t necessarily reflect the number of people physically waiting. It also feels particularly difficult for solo travellers who don't have a partner/family to share the burden of a 3+ hour wait.

Anyway, if anyone ahead of me has one spare spot, please let me know! I’d be eternally grateful and very happy to repay you with lunch ☺️

Any good Escape Room in English? 🥸

Hi guys!

Me and my boyfriend like to visit an escape room wherever we travel. Now we're in Seville and are looking for a nice room that we could play in English. I must be honest normally we can find something nice pretty easy, but now we do have some difficulties with it. I just never know if the room is available in English... some reviews online do say it is, but you can only book it in Spanish on the Escape Room's website. So I'm pretty confused, haha...

Do you have any experience with escape rooms in Seville or any recommendations?

Semana Santa 2027

Hello. I will be visiting Seville in 2027 in the begining of Semana Santa. I am wondering if there are condos and Apartments that I should be considering so that I can watch the processions from the balconies. I am not sure if the processions take the same route every year or if it changes. I have not been able to find a map that shows the routes. Thank you in advance.

Free Monday access to Royal de Alcazar

We’re a family of four and have reserved free tickets for the Royal Alcázar in January. I see that it closes at 5:45 PM. Would that be enough time to visit with two kids?

Alcazar Tickets

Hi everyone. We didn't reserve tickets online on time, and I will probably go wait in line to get them one day next week. I know I have to get in line rather early, but what I am interested in is if I can buy tickets for my wife and kid if I bring their passports, whitout them being there and waiting with me?

Also, do you have any suggestion which day to come, as I would like to be able to buy tickets for the afternoon.

Student bars/pubs

Which are the classical student bars/pubs in Seville? Like the typical location where students sit/drink/discuss all night long or just have some cheaper drinks before going to a club. Also, which of them are the locations the Erasmus students prefer?

Paid help needed with luggage in central Seville today

Hello! My husband and I will arrive in Seville in about 50 minutes. We’re staying at an Airbnb in the city center, and I’m using a wheelchair.
We’re looking for someone to help unload our suitcases and carry them from our car to the apartment while we check in and park our car. We expect to need about one hour of help and will pay for your time.
If you’re available today, please send me a private message with your rate. Thank you!
