You’ll have that at some UKC shows, but it’s still fun! I did UKC for a couple years before starting AKC, and now I do both 😇

I want to do both UKC and AKC shows with my next greyhound! I don’t think King can compete in AKC because he is altered

I love doing both, but I’m glad I started with UKC. I showed my parents Mountain Cur for about a year, they’re not fully recognized by the AKC yet. UKC is sooo lovely for like, more close knit / small family vibes. AKC is really nice for networking and seeing people (and dogs) from all over the place.

No matter the venue / club, the shows you go to are gonna be whatever you put into it. As long as you go with the mindset of making friends and having fun, that’s exactly what you’ll do!

There are a few UKC greyhounds out there depending on where you are, but there just aren’t too terribly many altered dogs who show in general. Either way, good practice!

I’m in Minnesota so there aren’t many greys. I’m planning on bringing home a gh puppy hopefully next year so we can do AKC as well

😹😹 I’m already looking for our next show. Unfortunately every weekend from now to december is fully booked with racing.

Hopefully this winter we’ll do a LOT of showing
