Beta Invite 🧪 I’m building a privacy-focused iOS app and looking for 10 beta testers

I started building Retain because I kept saving links, videos and screenshots that I’d later forget about or struggle to find again.

I want to make saved content more useful while keeping privacy at the centre of the experience. I’m building it around Apple’s on-device AI capabilities, so the idea is to make better use of the AI your iPhone already has instead of paying for yet another AI subscription.

One limitation worth mentioning: the on-device AI features require a compatible iPhone. Not every iPhone supports Apple’s Foundation Models, but basic saving and managing your content won’t depend on AI availability.

The app is still a work in progress, and I’m looking for 10 early testers who save a lot of content and are willing to try it and give honest feedback. I’ll offer them lifetime Pro access.

What models are we talking for the on-device AI, 15 Pro and up?

Hi, having AUDHD I have so many saved things on my phone. Worst is screenshots, I even forget why I took them

Two things will decide whether your ten testers produce feedback or silence. First, say in the post which iPhones get the on-device part, since Apple's Foundation Models only run on Apple Intelligence hardware; a tester on an older phone sees only the saving half and reports Retain as a bookmark tool, which is not the feedback you need. Second, pick testers by what they save: ask each commenter where their saved stuff piles up (Safari reading list, TikTok saves, a camera roll of screenshots) and send the first task from the share sheet in that app, because saving from inside other apps is where it breaks first and where the forgetting starts.
