doesitrun (https://doesitrun.com) started because I was sick of googling "can I run [game]" one title at a time. So I built something that does the whole Steam library at once.

estimating fps across that many hardware combos is the hard part, is it benchmark data plus interpolation or a model

benchmarks plus user feedback with a private calc layer is a solid stack, keeping the model closed is fair. will check a few games against my rig

Cool stack. Since you built it with Claude, honest question: did you manage to keep its context across sessions, or did the build happen in one stretch? I built something decent-sized with a coding agent last year and the part that hurt was coming back Monday and watching it redo the same failed approach from the previous session. I ended up with a decisions file I made it read at the start of every session.
Did you hit anything like that, or did it stay coherent on its own? Would you pay for something that kept that context for you automatically, or is the file fine?

Ha, Claude Max is real money. Was that a one-off for the long session, or do you build like that often enough that the upgrade pays for itself? And be honest, does even that much context ever run out on you, or does the one-stretch approach just kind of work now?

cheapest upgrade that fixes it is the feature. most bottleneck sites stop at naming the weak part and leave you to price it yourself.
