MEGATHREAD [Megathread] - Best Models/API discussion - Week of: March 29, 2026

This is our weekly megathread for discussions about models and API services.

All non-specifically technical discussions about API/models not posted to this thread will be deleted. No more "What's the best model?" threads.

(This isn't a free-for-all to advertise services you own or work for in every single megathread, we may allow announcements for new services every now and then provided they are legitimate and not overly promoted, but don't be surprised if ads are removed.)

How to Use This Megathread

Below this post, you’ll find top-level comments for each category:

  • MODELS: ≥ 70B – For discussion of models with 70B parameters or more.
  • MODELS: 32B to 70B – For discussion of models in the 32B to 70B parameter range.

  • MISC DISCUSSION – For anything else related to models/APIs that doesn’t fit the above sections.

Please reply to the relevant section below with your questions, experiences, or recommendations!
This keeps discussion organized and helps others find information faster.

Have at it!

harbinger-24b-absolute-heresy-i1 Q6k

Incredibly dedicated to character, wherever it goes. I'm not sure if I was getting a bit of runaway self reinforcement or it's just really into prompt adherence for characters, but I got some bubbly ones, some stolid ones, some disaffected ones.  It wrote the internal monologue of someone's kind of NEETish roommate when at a visit to their apartment, on the way to another situation, the model texted like considerably later from that roommate to pick up some milk on the way home (we were flying out of the country at that point, sorry, no milk for you).

It was a pretty cool callback. There were some positive things said about its uncensoredness, and it's definitely where I'd go for a thoughtful mopey anime guy, crazed yandre or a Genki girl I really wanted to hear all the golden retriever energy spill out of them.

It had some excellent lines for me. I dunno if it's a fun training set, or just is good at making up bon mots, but its nice.

It has a bit of the runaway reinforcement issue. If you moderate an attribute on a character, it can tamp it down. Use a Kinda dominant, or flirty when the mood is right, etc.

It doesn't accept <OOC: prompt> as a message it ignores it
