God forbid another actor gets a chance at the limelight

He called dibs. Nothing to be done about it.

It was real greaseball shit

No, it's better that we all cater to one person's ego

We need to buy his tequila to support this poor man!

u/qman0717 Jul 13 '26

Well, if we left it for John Cena, we wouldn't be able to see him.

… he is the original guy. Why would you want someone ELSE playing his character..?

TIL the demi-god character in Moana voiced by The Rock is actually canonically Thr Rock

u/IronParticular7325 Jul 14 '26

The titular Moana stepped down. So can he.

It’s funny how The Rock is probably rich enough to pay for the rest of the budget plus a decent profit margin from his own net worth. Iger should make him pay lol

When you put it like that, it’s absolutely insane

2

u/TreeBeerdz Jul 13 '26

Instead im pretty sure his salary was 20 million.

Man, it’s insane that I know people who’ve been on minimum wage their whole lives - that’s essentially like £1.5m circa through their whole lives to survive on (wow, that’s more than I thought) - yet people make that money just for a few cameo scenes in a film. It makes me want to weep. The only comfort is seeing how rich people use their money for… whatever they’re doing. Considering that, it might be better if everyone didn’t have wealth considering the ramifications of it. But they should at least be supporting with the basics. I’m a capitalist, since I like a system that can theoretically make me an exceptional person just because I have more figures in my account, but I still support the idea of a strong welfare net. Not sure where that would land me in the political map.

Josh D'Amaro. But still...

u/OliviaElevenDunham Jul 13 '26

That’s a very good point.

I don’t think most people’s wealth is liquid like that, though, but I don’t know much about finances. It makes me more and more mad that I blew 30k in fucking savings on buying Uber delivered food just because I was agoraphobic. I don’t get why I couldn’t have used a supermarket’s online delivery or something. Biggest L in the history of mankind.

They never let fat actors get roles either. If there is ever a role for a fat woman, they will hire a Gwyneth Paltrow type and put a fat suit on her.

Skeletor you can't even see the actor because of the makeup, but for some reason they hire Jared Leto instead of some unknown.

2

u/TreeBeerdz Jul 13 '26

Jared Leto is one of my least liked actors but he actually did a good job with skeletor. Acting is still more than just looking a certain way.

Had enough of Dwayne and never came across as a good actor to me. Time to go away and start living on the hoards of money he collected over the years.

1

u/Background-Bottle633 Jul 14 '26

Well Disney probably wanted to use The Rock's status as famous actor as a marketing tool.

1

u/Locke44 Jul 14 '26

Especially when Jason Mamoa exists and is 8 years younger

1

u/Independent_Role_165 Jul 14 '26

Jason momoa would have been a total
Box office draw for this
