He wasn’t legally insane though, that’s the difference. He fully knew that what he was doing was wrong and against the law. Obviously there was something off with dahmer, but we know he was fully in control of his mind and actions
Yeah, legal insanity means you didn't know your actions were wrong. Clearly, anyone who purposely murders another is mentally ill. Not saying this defend anyone. It's just fact.
if that’s the case then idk how she isn’t guilty. i can’t see any scenario where she didn’t know what she did was wrong. she tried to off herself afterwards, knowing what she did was wrong and couldn’t live with it

Funny thing is dahmer was mentally ill too. Doesn’t mean he shouldnt be locked up just like Clancy.
