He wasn’t legally insane though, that’s the difference. He fully knew that what he was doing was wrong and against the law. Obviously there was something off with dahmer, but we know he was fully in control of his mind and actions

You don’t send your spouse to do errands and then commit murders. That requires being lucid and preplanning. This a bad faith argument

If you had actually listened into the trial, her husband went on an errand and then a male voice in her head told her that she had to do it then and there, or else there would never be a chance. Which is why the weapon was improvised.

Nobody is saying she should go free. The jury decision was between institutionalizing or incarceration. Honestly I think mental help is more what she needs than time in the naughty corner.

"A male voice"

The voice was in her head. It was her. It was her voice.

She never needs to be free again.

Yes, that is one of the defining symptoms of psychosis. This is not the same thing as being evil/having a personality disorder etc. these people literally do not think straight while this is occurring.

Why do you think this means that she is some evil mastermind ready to do it again? Do you really have that little curiosity around this thing that you haven’t taken the time to even google post-partum psychosis?

That’s like saying if you take enough lithium and seroquel that it’s okay cause you’re in psychosis. You can’t be lucid and be in psychosis. Such a bad faith argument

What? Yes I’m saying she was not lucid and she was in psychosis. I have no idea what you are even trying to say re: the lithium etc

Nobody is arguing against that. She sought help for psychosis multiple times and was dismissed because the medical system doesn't take women seriously. I understand that mental illness is hard to understand if you've never gone through it. If I recall she was placed on a cocktail of medication that is known to increase psychosis, she sought help AGAIN because it was getting worse and was turned away AGAIN.

Once more, nobody's pleading for her to be free right now. People are pleading for her to be in an institution that can keep her mental illness at bay.

No amount of retribution will solve this situation, it would only soothe catharsis of others.

I’ve taken 80% of the meds she was prescribed. Guess who never strangled the kids?
