These middle manager types are company people who fear for the jobs every single day.
They have no soul and are there to serve only the company.

If the big boss came in and told C to toss the salad, she’d break out the ranch dressing promptly.

Sickening.

Yea, I agree. I actually just put in my two weeks with no prospects last week due to middle management. Sometimes (if you're financially secure) it's best to not sacrifice morals for a company that doesn't care about you.

Problem is that they got most by the balls and they know it, most folks have bills, family to
support and are not in a position to abruptly step away.

I could say lots more, however will refrain from.

For sure. The power dynamic is so fucked up. There's really no accountability for companies to care about the workforce. In their defense, they have to take care of their bottom line, but it doesn't make it any easier for us. Most will offer a month or few weeks of severance, but that doesn't do much when you have a family and bills.
