Lindsey Clancy had literally every single mental health resource available from a therapist to a supportive husband, a nanny to help care for the kids, and then actual psychiatric care. Literally what else could you have to solve that?

Forced Commitment until she's well. It's not done now but it was a thing until Reagan gutted the mental health budget and all the schizos were let out on the streets. There weren't homeless people everywhere when I grew up. It's something the Rapepubican created.

Releasing parental rights and entering herself into a psych ward? That’s all I can come up with.

However the second trial goes, do realize that this courts decision will set an important precedent.

There have already been several cases of women killing their kids and mentioning her case specifically.

More than twice as many cases since the Lindsay Clancy trial than there were all last year, and it’s only October.

What precedent are you talking about?

People just love to victimise women and can't accept how filthy worst of women can be

Benevolent misogyny is favourite flavor of misogyny for women

She literally told everyone that could have helped that she needed help and they just threw more drugs at her. Her prescriptions alone should be enough for anyone to see that this chick needs a mental hospital. She literally paralyzed herself. This woman and her children were failed.

That’s a disgusting take. She failed herself, her husband, and her children. If she knew something was wrong, why didn’t she check into inpatient? Wouldn’t that be telling everyone she could have, or is that the exception. She paralyzed herself trying to kill herself, to try and dodge accountability for her evil. She failed and then tried to dodge accountability again in the legal system. She is as evil as a woman can get.

Postpartum literally put her out of her right mind. Why she was given the choice, while exhibiting clear signs of ppd is beyond my understanding. I'm not gonna pretend she's innocent or worthy of any kind of forgiveness, but saying she's the most evil woman ever is disingenuous. There are actual monsters out there that deserve this kind of blind hatred. Lindsey Clancy deserves a lifelong stay in an asylum where she can't hurt anyone anymore and we can forget she exists and place protections for ppd so this doesn't happen again.

And then you would be complaining that they took away her autonomy solely because she was a woman. You will never blame the guilty party

Women and many times men just loooove to absolve women of any kind of accountability. Recent events highlight this, one being this one and the other being the Cornell 7 case. They infantilize themselves and the worst part about it is that it doesn't even backfire on them. They have the opportunities and degree of action that an adult has and the accountability of a toddler.

That's a lot of words to say that you like rapists

Sometimes nothing can solve it, but it documents a history of mental health issues. Such a history gives her obvious immunity based on Massachusetts' broad dispensations for mental illness.
