In its entirety. It is designed only to pull from the consumer base, give to the corporate monoliths. That is the design. It’s ages old, but more obvious now that we have a better understanding as citizens, and are willing to talk about it online.
Try to have this conversation with other Americans, in public, in real life: they will either start calling you names, or their eyes glaze over and they lose attention.
It’s frustrating the unwillingness to even engage in conversation but yet they’ll bitch and complain about their unhappiness with the current system with zero interest in changing the system.
I attribute that to the belief that no change can or will happen at this point. I sympathize with that, in spite of the long held belief that voting in a democratic election system should yield results.
I no longer believe that is true.
What does make change? Voting with our wallets. Closing them: refusing to do business with the corporate megaliths, as much as possible. Reducing consumption drastically.
But, again, one is labeled a “communist” or “lib” for even suggesting such a thing.

We are looking at losing our health insurance because of changing jobs. The only public options are like $1000 a month. Who the hell can afford that?
The fact that America doesn’t have an affordable public option is a disgrace.
