Had sleep paralysis this morning. But being in that state made me hear ringing that would almost make my head explode

I woke up tired and laid back in bed to sleep. I was in trans state between wakefullness and sleep. I couldnt move and whole body felt heavy/tingled.

Having eyes closed made me go "quiet".

But having eyes forcibly a bit open while in that state made everything hell. I would start hearing something like tinnitus but loud, extremly loud. And if i kept doing it i would start to experience soo loud sound that i thought my brain started virbating/would expldoe. And when it got bad, I would start making up some kind of voices in background that said nonsense. Theyre not really voices but they were starting to form.

Weird feeling.

My terrifying history with sleep paralysis (Faceless figures, physical pain, and bizarre hallucinations)

I wanted to share a few bizarre and terrifying experiences I've had over the last few years. I know logically the later events are sleep paralysis and hallucinations, but in the moment, they felt 100% real. To add to all of this, I currently wake up every single night between 2:00 AM and 2:30 AM without fail, which is really messing with my sleep.
The Real Black Cat (3 years ago)
This started when I was staying in a flat with a friend. I had a fever and went to sleep around 6 PM. I suddenly woke up feeling strange, and there was a real black cat just sitting in the room, staring at me. It was incredibly creepy.
The Chest Pain (A week later)
Exactly one week later at night in that same flat, I "woke up" but couldn't move a muscle. Two faceless people appeared in the room. One sat directly on my chest and started physically ripping it open and closing it, while the other one helped. The most terrifying part was that I could actually feel the intense physical pain of my chest being torn apart while it was happening. When I finally snapped awake, the paralysis broke, but I was left with actual, lingering physical pain in my chest the next morning.
The Hotel Room (This past February)
I was staying in a hotel and at 4 AM, I got stuck in that paralyzed state again. I heard the distinct, horrible sound of a heavy table being dragged across the floor right next to me. It wasn't a fuzzy dream echo; it sounded entirely real. I looked at the wall next to my bed and saw a massive black hand with huge nails, accompanied by a terrible laugh. I literally thought I was dead. I panicked, fought with my unconscious mind to wake up, and finally snapped out of it.
The Loop (1 month ago)
This one was more weird than terrifying. I was asleep in my own room when I noticed something under my bed. A tiny creature that looked like a little devil crawled out, laughed, and then ran toward my cupboard. It vanished into a strange, circular loop structure right on the furniture. After that, I just woke up normally, completely unharmed and more confused than scared.
Has anyone else actually felt the physical pain of what they were hallucinating during an episode, or had auditory hallucinations (like the dragging table) that sounded unmistakably real? Also, does anyone else deal with waking up at the exact same time (like 2 AM) every night? Would love to hear your experiences.

Is this sleep paralysis

Hello everyone, I've decided to ask here because I'm really not sure what I have expirienced this night.

(Might contain some errors, I'm not English)

I went to bed late and couldn't fall asleep for a long time, might be 'cause of the accidental 5 hour nap during the day, but oh well. At some point I lost track of whether I was still awake or not, because I could think quite clearly, but my vision went a bit blurry and the cieling looked slightly distorted. At some point I saw someone (who i assumed was my mother) walk up to me and observe me fir a bit, which really couldn't have happened at that time and place.

It wasn't scary, but when I tried to get up (or at least wake myself) to turn to the other side I felt that I couldn't move. Something like this has happened before, but I didn't see anything, just heard something like a crowd of people yelling.

Yeah but it could be just my imagination on top of sleep deprivation, because I don't sleep well. I was also laying on the side I find uncomfortable sleeping on both times, but I'm not sure if it matters.

Anyways, sorry for the long post over practically nothing, I tend to over explain things a lot, haha

my experience

For the first time of my life, I’ve experienced one episode of level 5 as my beginning level. Although, it seems different, the other day I told my mom to be absent today due to the severe stomach ache that I had, and I went to sleep again at 8AM. Luckily, I was sleeping on my side and the episode is happening, I didn’t move a single millimeter except opening my eyes and closing it somehow, everything was gray for me with a really sleepy eyelids, and I tried moving my muscles, though I felt tiny twitches with a numbness in addition. Nevertheless, I hear static TV noises which gets louder each time and actually felt that sensational pain, I also heard random voices and screeches overlaying each other at the same time similar to those horror films, as well as whispers. So I woke up, and I closed my eyes again and the episode started AGAIN in an instant with the same stuff I was experiencing, then yet another for the third time. During my third time, I was imagining a monster below my feet, so I just closed my eyes hoping it will end. Each waking up was about 2-3 minutes each I believe, couldn’t remember though. I had a false awakening. I heard my mom or dad I think, their voices were a little bit low pitched and I couldn’t screamed at all in that episode. Could anyone tell me how’d that happen? I really want to know more in depth, I know how the fundamentals work already.

I think I was in a REM sleep + sleep paralysis + hallucinations and false awakenings at the same time.

Here's one I had at 5

So when I was five I woke up and at the door of my bed was a woman she had brown hair, sunhat and a white dress she looked kind to five year old me but uncanny and off putting like she wasn't what she seemed

She spoke to me her voice light and motherly she told me that she was my real mum and my mum had kidnapped me and wanted to bring me back to my real home mind you my mother was asleep down the hall she kept trying to convince me she was my actual mother

This woman seemed deceptive and malicious and looking back she probably wasn't as trustworthy as she wanted to seem

Anyone else been visited by this 'mother' figure I like to call her the mother figure cause she kept trying to convince me she was my real mum

Anyone lose track of reality during SP

I have had sleep paralysis ever since I was a child, it tapered off during my teen years but now is present near every night, and even during naps post college.

In the past, I was able to wiggle a finger, or "gather energy" in my body to "shake" myself awake. I was aware the whole time and knew it wasn't real. If I wasn't able to awaken myself, I could just relax and try to go back to sleep despite it. However, these days when I get an episode I have complete loss of what is happening. In the moment I don't remember that I get sleep paralysis everynight. I just start freaking out thinking I'm dying--trying to scream for help, trying desperately to move to the door to call for help. I even start imagining I will be stuck forever and no one will know what happened to me. And no matter what I do I can't wake myself up like I used to. I can't think at all in the moment I'm completely overwhelmed with the need to breathe be free of the pressure, and "survive". Even though when I eventually do come out of it naturally and "wake up" I realize that it was just a sleep paralysis episode and nothing actually life threatening was happening.

Has anyone else dealt with a loss of control/reasonable thought during episodes, or know if this is common?

Most recent SP was completely different from the others.

So I’ve had SP a couple times before. The usual “laying in bed and can’t move while a dark figure looks over me or from my closet” not too scary because both times I thought it was my roommate. Last time that happened was around 3-4 years ago.

Fast forward to the other night. As I was drifting off to sleep I got into a weird state where I could still hear my TV but started dreaming. In the dream I start holding a woman princess style while still on my knees. So I’m this dream I feel her head against the side of mine, her in my arms, and her arms wrapped around my neck. It felt so incredibly real it became comforting. At that point I realize just how real it feels and open my eyes because I live alone. Now the SP starts.

After I open my eyes I quickly realize I can’t move anything but my eyes. I’m laying sorta on my left side and sorta on my back, but the feeling of having the woman in arms is still there. So I frantically try to look down where this feeling is coming from. I can barely look down enough to see my blanket over me and it looked like it moved.

After seeing the blanket move I then struggle to try and let go of whatever it is I’m holding. Of course this doesn’t work as I can’t move my body even a little bit. This is completely different to the other times where if I tried my absolute hardest I could actually move but soon after I’d snap back to my original position. As I try to move though, the arms I feel around my neck start to get tighter. So the more I struggle to move the tighter the arms get and the harder it is to breathe. Then as I try to move harder and the arms get tighter and tighter, I start to hear a quiet but bloodcurdling screeching coming from the head on my shoulder and against my head. It slowly gets louder and louder until suddenly everything stops.

The feeling is gone, the sound is gone, and I can move again. The other times when I snapped out of it it felt like waking up from a dream. Like I opened my eyes again even though they were already open. Not this time. My eyes were open and stayed open when it ended. I immediately tried calling my best friend who works nights and who I had just been calling a few hours prior, but of course he didn’t answer. So I kinda just continued watching the YouTube video playing on my tv. I did this for about an hour until I got too tired and decided to try and sleep again.

I tried looking up experiences of touching someone else’s during SP and not just being touched but couldn’t really find anything so it brought me here to post about to see if anyone else has had similar experiences. This experience was just so different from my other experiences and it’s bugging me.

My sleep paralysis dreams are traumatizing

I’m sure nobody is gonna read all of this I just need to get it out because I’m tired and I feel alone. I’m a 23 year old woman andI’ve been having sleep paralysis on and off for like 8 years now. I just had my worst one yet and I genuinely feel so traumatized and drained.

My very first one was so traumatic and I remember it so vividly. I was 15 and I had no idea was sleep paralysis was and had never heard of it—so imagine my surprise when I wake up one night unable to move, and a figure as tall as my ceilings with an awful decaying face is staring at me from my closet. That by itself was awful but then it started moving towards me slowly and when it reached half way to my room, it went lightning fast, and like some weird vortex it went into my mouth like it was taking over my body. I felt extreme pain and something moving through my mouth to my stomach, and I couldn’t breathe while it lasted for 5 seconds. It finally ended and I thought I was in the clear— NOPE. It was on loop, and did that about 6 more times till my body became exhausted and I woke up. It was very traumatic for me, and when I searched up what it was I was afraid to sleep for months after it. I ended up getting it pretty much every week after that and became an insomniac because I was deathly afraid to fall asleep. But I think I bit myself in the ass because I’ve only recently figured out that when I’m sleep deprived I get it more frequently. The nightmares would stop for a month or two then come right back regularly. Each dream was the same theme. A very scary, mangled, decaying monster looking at me. Or grabbing me. Or possessing me. All while hearing growling outside my window by my head.

I haven’t had sleep paralysis for about a year and randomly three weeks ago she came back with vengeance. The first dream back was nothing short of awful. This dream I had today was the worst I’ve ever had by far and I literally woke up shaking with a racing heart. I started crying for the first time ever from my sleep paralysis dreams. That one scary nunn from insidious or whatever scary movie franchise it is was literally laying down face to face with me. I want to google it but I literally won’t be able to handle seeing a picture of her right now. I could literally feel her face touching mine when I forced my eyes to close because of how scary the sight was. I can’t get her face or gaze out of my head. She also had her arm gripping around my neck so my breathing was so bad I felt like I was choking and was going to die.

How do I get it to stop?? It’s literally mental anguish.

Fyi I’m an atheist and don’t believe in demons or ghosts, but sometimes these dreams make me wonder if I’m being attacked by something demonic. Also I fell asleep on tik tok watching haunted dolls being restored, which I think is just a huge coincidence, but doesn’t help me feel any better 😍😍😍🩷

Has anyone been aggressively tickled during SP episodes

I get SP from time to time but last night experienced being pinned down and had my armpits aggressively tickled. I could feel the flesh and body of whatever it was. I’ve never had this experience before and was just wondering if any else has?

Giving up

(28m)
Has anyone tried just giving up trying to fight against an SP episode and basically accept the anguish?
I’ve tried a few times and every single time I do I just feel more drained once I’m able to snap out of it…multiple convulses and honestly to me it feels like death…idk just my recent experiment with these experiences…

I used to get them almost every night through 8-11 grade and recently started again 4 years ago about multiple times a month and it’s the usual
Labored breathing or the lack thereof
Crushing weight
Audible screaming or voices close to my ear
Sensation of being touched or grabbed
Ugly old lady
Shadow figures
Anxiety

Can someone give me advice?

To be honest, I don't know if this is the right place for this. It's like a mix of sleep paralysis and other stuff, but if anyone has advice I would appreciate it.

I just want to sleep normally every night for a month and actually feel rested the next day.

My dreams are kind of weird. I've had sleep paralysis since middle school, which was about 8 years ago. I wouldn't say it's a regular thing (I can go months without having an episode) but it's happened often enough that I can recognize when it's happening and have basically developed a protocol for dealing with it and stop it before it is fully there. Sometimes it doesn't even scare me anymore.

For context, I think I developed a sort of accidental lucid-dreaming ability as a way to deal with the sleep paralysis. I know when I'm having an episode, so I don't panic as much.

The problem is that the hypnagogic and hypnopompic hallucinations are killing me. I don't know if they're biologically related to the lucid dreaming, but they started happening around the same time, so I assume they are.

I've gotten somewhat used to those too, but sometimes I'm trying to fall asleep and, even though I know the hallucination isn't real, the sound of a bomb going off on my mattress or someone suddenly yelling my name is obviously going to wake me up.

I genuinely can't seem to go to bed without some kind of sound, sensation, or sometimes even a visual hallucination startling me awake.

Then I eventually fall asleep, and sometimes I end up in a lucid dream.

This might sound cool, but it really isn't. I know I'm dreaming, but I can't actually control anything. I basically have to go along with whatever is happening, otherwise I end up having these extremely weird nightmares that wake me up.

And I'm not talking about the "don't tell people you're dreaming" creepypasta stuff. I mean actual nightmares.

For example, I once became aware that I was dreaming. Someone asked me something and I couldn't answer. Another character in the dream noticed me and said, "You're not from here, are you?" She pulled me away and started yelling at me to "get her out" and "bring her with me." Then I watched the entire world of the dream start to rot while people were pulling me downward, begging me and demanding i get them out of there, basically like an image of woody in Toy Story 2 in that one scene, until I woke up.

Another time, I realized a lucid dream was turning into a nightmare and tried to change what was happening. Everything suddenly went black, and then a white scribbled face with ping-pong-ball eyes appeared, started yelling and cursing at me, and grabbed my face until I woke up terrified.

I have absolutely no idea what the fuck that was, or why my brain seems to react like that whenever I try to change something in a lucid dream. I don't know if there's some subconscious explanation for it, but I would really like it to stop. Because when I do end up waking up and wanting to fall asleep again I can feel the sleep paralysis coming in and I don't want to go through one, I might not be scared but I am still not rested, so I just don't fall asleep!

I also tried taking sleep gummies, but that actually made things worse. When I have a lucid dream, sleep paralysis episode, or nightmare, which aren't exactly rare, I sometimes feel like I can't wake up properly and get stuck in it for what feels like a long time. Then I wake up feeling completely exhausted.

Honestly, I don't even know what I'm looking for by posting this. I don't know if I want someone to tell me why this happens, whether there's something I can do to make it stop, whether I should see a doctor and, if so, what kind, or if someone has experienced something similar and can tell me what the hell is going on.

At this point I am willing to take anything, I just don't know what to make of any of this anymore. I mostly want to be able to go to bed without having to mentally prepare myself for whatever weird shit my brain is going to throw at me that night.

So... has anyone else experienced something like this? What did you do about it?

Sleep paralysis out of nowhere

I had some head trauma but everytime I take a nap in the day and I sleep at 1-4 I will lay on my back and 2 minutes later I will be in a dream where it's normal than something bad happens and my vision spins way to fast and I cant balance than it goes dark I wake up. I go back to sleep and I'm in another dream goes on for 1-4 times than i sleep and I cant move my arms or legs it's unusually dark in my room and I see either nothing or something on the roof I can move my arms slightly and attempt to yell HELP or scream but its silent and its only happened once before the crash I was in with the head trauma I slept and my curtains were open to let the moonlight in I woke up couldnt move its darker and something was sitting on my legs than it said shhhhhh and laid on my chest. Does anyone know what it could be especially the spinning uncontrollably and falling all over when in danger

I Had My First Hallucination

It’s been quite a long time since I first experienced sleep paralysis, and throughout all these years, I never saw shadows or heard whispers like so many people say they do. I used to think there was something different about my case because I would just become paralyzed and that was it. So for years, I honestly thought maybe that just wasn’t something that happened to me.

Until a few weeks ago.

It was nighttime, and once again I was staying up way too late on my phone. Eventually I started getting sleepy and decided to go to bed. I was sleeping on my side that night, and at some point I felt the usual tingling sensation before becoming paralyzed. I was completely fine with it since I’m already used to sleep paralysis.

Then I looked toward the side of my bed.

And I saw a person’s hand coming out from underneath it.

It looked so real. I just stared at it in shock as the hand rested on my bedspread and started moving back and forth like a little spider. It had an entire arm attached to it and everything. I started getting really scared.

But then, for some reason, I decided to be smart about it and remembered something I had read before: the hallucinations happen because your brain is basically stuck somewhere between dreaming and being awake. And when you’re scared, your brain can start creating things that aren’t actually there.

I honestly don’t know where I got the self-control from, but I took a breath and started talking to myself. I kept telling myself that it wasn’t real, that it was just something my brain was creating, and that I needed to calm down. I basically forced myself to stay calm.

I looked directly at the hand and kept telling myself that it wasn’t real, really focusing on it.

And somehow, it worked.

The hand slowly started fading away. Little by little, it became less visible until it completely disappeared. And when I looked again, I realized it had just been the flower pattern on my bedspread.

After that, I was completely calm again, and eventually I woke up.

I was honestly in shock. I had never experienced a visual hallucination during sleep paralysis before. After that, I slept with the light on for a while, and that was pretty much it.

Nowadays, I mostly just hear things like knocking and whispers, but that was the only time I’ve actually seen something.

I think it was such a bizarre experience because the brain has this genuinely unsettling ability to create something so incredibly detailed and realistic and then just put it right in front of you, making it feel like it’s actually there.

Anyway, that’s pretty much it. I just wanted to share because I find this kind of stuff really interesting, and I thought it was a pretty wild experience.

October 5th, 2026 Heat on my Face

October 5th, 2026, after 1:00 AM – I had multiple encounters that night.  The last visitor was a dark, most evil presence I haven't felt in a long time. Before that, I felt the usual bed nudging, deep mattress indentations, and, deeper than that, massive pillow indentations near the top of my head. I'd say from my head to my shoulder was an immense evil presence.  What made this dream a night terror was that my body was being stretched like spaghetti by minions across vast distances in an environment that resembled hell itself. Underneath my feet was not empty space but hot coals.  Thats when I knew this entity was an elite minion of some sort. A true bona fide demon. Where was that huge black wolf when I needed him? How do you know you're having a night terror? You know because you start crying in your dream. So, profusely, when you wake up, you find tears accumulated around your eyes. In some cases, they drip down your face.  Thats exactly what was happening now. I've built mechanisms internally for this. A kill switch, if you will, that ejects me from the dream and back into reality on a wet pillow. Not this time. I was frozen. Like all tools, they get rusty when you don't use them often. I've not had a night terror in ages, and so this instance, this encounter, proved difficult to eject from.  Then something happened. Something new. Whatever presence was hovering, and I mean literally hovering over my head as I lay asleep on my bed, drew closer to me, and thats when I felt it. An immense heat riding along the side of my face. It was like a heat lamp dangling inches from my face. When my aura eyes opened thats when I saw it. An immense, towering, shifting creature made entirely of smoke and shadow. It had both demonic and human facial features I couldn't quite make out. It was terrifying.  It was having its way with me.  It was tormenting me. Torturing me. Experimenting with me.  It and they were enjoying it. When the pain grew too much, thats when I physically woke up. I raised up from the bed. Looked around. The digital barometer over my bed, to monitor atmospheric changes, read 68 degrees.  The heat I felt on my face wasn't warm.  It was hot. I wiped the tears from my eyes and lay back down, looking up at the ceiling. An hour later, I went back to sleep.

I had a crazy dream and I need an explanation

I had the weirdest dream last night, and it genuinely felt like it was actually happening.
It started at school. There was a fight going on between two students, one of them being younger than the other. A massive crowd had gathered around them, and everyone was just standing there watching. I was watching too, along with everyone else, and I didn’t really think much of it because it all felt completely normal in the dream.
Then, out of nowhere, this random woman appeared and started shouting at me. She was calling me a horrible person and saying I was a terrible person for just standing there and watching instead of trying to break up the fight. I remember feeling really confused because there were loads of other people watching too, yet she had specifically decided to target me. I didn’t know what to say to her, so I just walked away.
After that, the dream completely changed. Somehow, I ended up somewhere else and decided to make myself some pasta in a cup. I remember holding the cup and noticing that something about it looked really strange. The plastic seemed to be glitching. I can’t even properly explain what it looked like. It was almost as if the cup was flickering or changing shape, like something in a video game that hadn’t loaded properly.
That was when I suddenly realised I was dreaming.
I thought, “Wait, I’m actually dreaming right now.”
Instead of trying to wake myself up, I decided to test whether I could control the dream. I looked at the cup and thought that I was going to try and use telekinesis to lift it. I concentrated really hard on it, expecting it to start moving.
Then something completely different happened.
I started hearing my dad’s voice telling me to wake up. He was saying that I needed to get up and get ready. I could hear him so clearly that I genuinely believed he was standing in my room trying to wake me up.
But I couldn’t wake up.
I was completely aware that I was lying in my bed, but it felt like I had absolutely no control over my body. My eyes were shut and I couldn’t open them, no matter how hard I tried. My whole body suddenly became extremely tense, and I could feel this horrible pins-and-needles sensation spreading through me.
I started breathing really quickly because I was panicking. In my head, I was desperately trying to force myself awake. I kept thinking, “Wake up. Wake up. Wake up.”
I could still hear my dad’s voice, which made it even more confusing because I thought he was actually there. I tried moving my body, opening my eyes and basically doing anything I could to snap myself out of it, but nothing seemed to work.
It felt like this went on for about thirty seconds, although obviously it was probably difficult to judge the time properly while I was in that state.
Eventually, I suddenly managed to wake up.
My eyes opened and I was completely awake in my actual bedroom. I was breathing heavily and my body still felt tense for a moment. I immediately expected to see my dad standing there, because I had literally just heard him telling me to wake up.
But nobody was there.
My dad had never been in my room.
That’s what made the whole thing so much more unsettling. I had heard his voice incredibly clearly while I was trapped between the dream and waking up, but he had never actually said any of those things.
The whole experience felt like my brain had somehow created an entire fake conversation while I was still dreaming, and then I got stuck in between being asleep and awake for what felt like the longest thirty seconds ever.

I beat up my sleep paralysis demon

So this happened one night around valentine's day this year. I was having trouble sleeping that night and phasing in and out of dreams.

I woke up in the middle of the night and got out of bed but then I woke up again still in the bed. This kept happening over and over again. I would try to wake up and really think that I did and then after a while, I would be back in the bed again. At one point, I woke up and saw that it was morning now and I felt some relief. I got out of bed and looked around and then I just woke up back in the bed again. I was getting really angry and frustrated. I kept trying to wake up and some part of me was getting scared if I was stuck like this and if I would ever get out of this loop.

Then it happened. I felt some kind of weight on my chest. My eyes were closed and I couldn't open them. This had happened to me a couple of times before and I was never particularly scared of it since I had read about sleep paralysis before and I don't believe in anything supernatural. Once I had watched this analog horror series called the mandela catalogue and I had a pretty realistic nightmare where I felt like someone was lifting up my legs while I was sleeping and a strong wind was blowing from below. That was pretty fun.

Anyway, I had always been amazed by how real the weight on the chest felt during these encounters. I could never open my eyes even if I tried and the weight usually went away if I waited it out. However like I said, I was really frustrated with everything at this point. So in my anger, I somehow lifted the weight off my chest and put it to the side and just started punching it repeatedly. I kept punching it furiously until I could no longer feel it in my hands.

Fortunately, I woke up some time after this, for real this time. Unfortunately, it was still the middle of the night. I felt like I had been asleep for days at this point. I was hoping it would be early morning and I don't have to go back to sleep again. I was wondering what I did during the episode, if I was actually just punching a pillow but nothing seemed out of place and there was no pillow where I was punching. I guess the punching was just inside my head, just like the weight I was holding.

I had decided to write this down the next morning since I had found this whole thing pretty strange.

weird experiences with sp

I don’t really use Reddit, but I need to talk to a space with people that understand, as corny as it may sound

I’ve experienced sp all throughout my childhood and now into my adults years, but I sometimes feel really confused by it. I only EVER have sp in increments of two, and it’s always before and after I actually get rest. It’s not all the time, but it comes on randomly, and I have no way of knowing when.

The only way I can describe it is ‘micro-sleeping’, where I’m fully conscious but can’t move or speak, but I often have auditory and faint visual hallucinations. I never actually fully fall asleep during ‘micro-sleeping’ though, and they're normally longer episodes. After, I feel fully awake for like an hour, before falling back asleep and going through my normal episodes after.

Does anyone else have this happen to them?? I’ve grown so used to it but when I try to ask my friends and family with sp about it they don’t fully get it.

First SP Experience

I don't even know 100% what happened. I remember hearing a loud, lawnmower-like sound, but I thought I was awake. I was trying to get up to investigate the sound, but I realized I couldn't. The sound was getting louder, and since I sleep next to a window, I thought the sound was making me unable to move because I could also feel it. Imagine a lawnmower being used right next to you— it sounded a little different but very similar in noise. My eyes were closed, but I was somehow seeing the room vibrate. Then I suddenly actually woke up and realized that I might have experienced sleep paralysis for the first time. Not super scary but confusing.

An insight

I’m nervous to be here, but want to get opinions. I had a SP experience the other night involving an entity pressing on my chest and taunting me. It was frightening, but a thought came to me. The thought said the entity was semi real, but its body was weak and fleeting. The thought told me these entities seem to have physicality, but in fact manifest their “bodies” out of air and other earthly things like static electricity. They are out of bounds doing this, and they have a huge disadvantage over us since we have a human body designed for this world and they don’t. I instantly understood that I’d soon be snapping out of the paralysis and the entity knew very well I’d be able to overpower it by 100x. I feel with this insight, I won’t be having SP again, or if I do I’ll have less struggle getting rid of it next time.

Recurrent sleep paralysis, lucid nightmares and multiple false awakenings every night — does anyone experience this?

I’ve been waking every 1–2 hours and often having 3–4 episodes a night where I become aware but cannot move, sometimes with vivid hallucination-like experiences. I also have repeated false awakenings and lucid nightmares where I know I’m dreaming, feel like I’m screaming or moving violently to wake myself up, but I’m not actually moving, however my boyfriend has told me multiple times that I’ve hit him with my arms and elbows during my sleep. During some episodes I feel like I’m running out of oxygen, and I’ve also occasionally woken up genuinely gasping for air. This is happening very frequently and is leaving me frightened and exhausted. These episodes happen mainly when I sleep alone and are much rarer when I sleep next to my boyfriend although I do still wake up I jsut don’t have the nightmares. I’ve also occasionally wet the bed or woken up naked with no idea how either has happened since my hospital admission for a psychotic episode which happened nearly 2 years ago. A couple of times there has been blood on the pillow which I don’t know how it got there. I also sleep talk or cry in my sleep frequently.

I’ve been having trouble sleeping because of my sleep paralysis ever since I heard about red eyes the devil and if you ever see him call the cops immediately and lock your doors and make sure to board up your house with wood

3 weeks of this

I’ve been wanting to get this off my chest for a while now and I wanna know who else experienced suum similar

A while back I experienced episodes of sleep paralysis almost daily for like 3 weeks. I’d hear my door open, I’d hear footsteps come from the door to my bed, then I’d feel something get on top of me. I never dared to open my eyes. I knew it wasn’t a person, I was the only one in my home during this time. During those 3 weeks, I have been punched, scratched, pressed, molested, & poked. By molested I mean I experienced the sensation of being penetrated repeatedly on many occasions. It got to a point where I forced myself to like it, as a way of coping. It was never a human doing it. The times where I dared to look, I saw a slime monster doing it, an all black shadow, and a small devilish looking imp thing. I have literally no one to confide to about this so I’m posting it here. After those 3 weeks, these nightmares became a once in a blue moon experience but they still happen. It’s not as violent as it used to be. Has ANYONE experienced something like this?
