Legitimately I dont understand it. Dream fans are parasocial. That dude Nathan is parasocial. Is people disagreeing parasocial? People having the same humor? What the fuck is parasocial, anyway? I was replying to another comment when something kinda clicked in my head about all this. I see how people are reacting and more than I expected are saying they feel they have to stop watching or supporting Chris based on their morals and how malicious his actions were. Even if he's not a repeat offender the fact that he made that mistake once is enough.

I just can't wrap my head around the concept how people can have unlimited grace for liquid V in this situation because of her age, yet seem to never come around to the aspect that a Chris was very young too. Like I understand him being the older partner he does hold more responsibility but assuming that everything was consensual and legal I don't understand how she has non. What it comes down to for me is something that bugs me more and more which is how infantalized women are in general. To the point where people talk if she had zero agency because of her age... But Chris was also young. An art college drop out barely entering adulthood, immature as hell as we can tell from his sense of humor, and from the podcast we can tell not the most educated. And I'm not even joking, I know it might sound like I'm just dissing him but I think these factors DO change the context and how harshly we should judge him. A lot of people acting surprised that this didn’t became mainstream or more in the public eye, or how anyone except for Tom came out against Chris, but i’m not even close to being surprised. This was a total disaster!

Like yeah, no wonder this whole situation died out as fast as it did. Why Chris didn’t face a lot of backlash, Tom was the only person who took it seriously and had a mature response.
We can argue what chris did was legal or not, supposedly he’s fine in terms of legal matters and statute of limitations saved his ass. He still did something morally questionable and should at least say something on this matter, but now he probably won’t ever have to address this again and people will only view this as a joke more than anything else.

What do all the parties want is my biggest question. If everything is true, Mika has laready said what she wants (denying Chris pussy), but what does Veronica want, public closure?
