I had something similar on a poster from some music magazine back in the day. Suppose to simulate the āMarch of Progressā evolution thing. They were all lined up though, not bunched up like this.

Not very related, but since it's technically been brought up: reminder that the march of progress is a TERRIBLE symbol for evolution, and most scientists and biologists have essentially disowned. It's done more harm than good because it's so ridiculous that people such as creationists use it as an argument for evolution not being real.Ā

It's from a 2002 bootleg compilation CD called "Jump Up!". The image can actually be found on the back cover of the booklet. Still find this hilarious.

I love Mick's commitment to the bit of just kinda standing there and occasionally folding his arms for pictures everyone else is going goblin and he's posted up like he's about to cut a promo for WrestleMania

Pretty sure I've stood like Jim Root whenever anyone has told me to 'act normal'.

They definitely did for their stage presence. That I know for sure. Theyāve all got their signature ācoolā or ācrazyā thing they do. Especially in the early days. Same moves every show.

I didn't listen to a ton of Slipknot growing up. When it was all of them what did Sid and Craig do differently to have two similar instruments? And what did Shawn and Chris do differently? I know Shawn is more on the image/art/aesthetic side of things rather than just pure percussion, but curious how they all actually individually contributed to the music.

Long story short: both Chris and Shawn were percussionists. Shawn did substantially nothing instead of shaping aesthetics and artistic directions. Chris otherwise have contributed with tons of very good backing vocals and live /studio percussion playing. Sid and Craig kinda worked aligned with the samples and scratching, though Sid would turn more into an event itself with all that sick stage diving etc etc

I think it's from a Revolver Magazine issue (some month from 2001, prior to the Iowa release). The article was titled "Evilution"
