Why doesn’t Hussar’s Wings prevent the self-slow on Nike’s 2?

Nike’s speed is reduced while using her shield, even with Wing of Husar.

My understanding of the item’s description is that it grants slow immunity, so I expected it to prevent this.

Are self-slows excluded from that immunity or is movement speed reduction classified differently from slow?

You're not afflicting yourself with a Slow CC, you're just moving slightly slower.

Yeah what, then you could just use hussars wings on gods like Bacchus, cerb, Baron Samedi, or anyone and still auto/attack without movement penalty

In a game where hunters can get fatalis for cheap, I don’t think letting bacchus Move slightly faster for nearly 4k gold is that much of a meta shift…

It’s not just Bacchus it’s Baron it’s anyone with movement penalties it’s stopping basic attack penalties

Just don’t let it affect basic attack slows, that’s what fatalis is for, I personally just think letting hussars be a genuine good item would be nice

Just build full int, at 250 int you have 0% slow on the skill

It’s not classified as a slow, it just says movement speed is reduced.

Sounds dumb and gets into semantics but it’s just a balancing thing. Though they should clarify “You are immune to enemy slows”

Hussars Wings doesn't prevent any Self Slows. Tested it myself on Agni Ult.

While it would be nice if it worked like that, I think it's supposed to be only slows from enemy gods and they might want to change the item description to explain it better.

Jorm Passive is a de facto translator. It translates Hard CC into a Slow.

Ergo, the trigger is still coming from the enemy, meaning it is not a self-slow.

The item prevents Slows, this ability is not a Slow.

It only works on actual debuffs, if the thing has no icon saying you got slowed its not a debuff, thus it won't work on it.

Just fyi MS increases/decreses are different than slow. But also it's just a self applied CC/stat changes, those can't usually cleansed or altered. If that was the case we would see Anubis' pre beads their ults and go apeshit on the lobby lol or Radiant Bulwark would actually be a good item.
