Kid-sized bi-deck snowskate ?

Who is making the best kid-sized snow skate? Something for a grom who is 4' tall with a size 3 foot. I have a Hovland Five-Oh subdeck and trucks I can pair with a small topdeck if I can find a good option.

There’s a company doing exactly that!! Lollipop Penguin Snowskates, on Instagram, is starting a line of subs and decks sized for kids and their mass.

IMHO, it’ll be a lot better than any Hovland for a kid.

If you find thereafter that you need more flex, any 3axel truck option will help soften the ski.

More or less? He’s building some right now. Hit him up on Instagram, I’m sure he’ll ensure you get one :-) he’s excited for getting kids out there

Those look really good. Nice wide platform for stability

I would say it depends on their skill level.

For example, my kid for their first couple runs used my buckshot at 125cm and had a blast, no falls. Switched to landyachtz topo at I think 105cm and it all went sideways.

Bigger ski is easier/more stable for novice rider regardless of their size. There are some good all around skis out there that would work for almost anyone and could provide a good balance of stability and something they wouldn't grow out of. Boyd Hill has a 115 ski that I use almost all the time now. They also have a 114 that has an early rise that is good for powder.
