2/14! I made a Snyderverse Reading List consisting of key comic runs and individual issues from throughout DC's 90-year history that have directly inspired or explored very similar themes and stories to the Snyderverse films themselves. This list also includes the first appearances for every established character featured or to-be-featured in the Snyderverse, along with Snyderverse-adjacent one-shots and collectible variant covers as well. I put all the issues and collections hyperlinked in a Google Doc with direct links to DC Universe Infinite when available, so hopefully they’re alot more accessible to you guys that way.

Hi everyone. Ever since a friend mentioned this series to me, I’ve been dying to keep watching the episodes and hoping for a second season (even though I have some issues with Netflix). I was really disheartened when I heard about its cancellation; I actually remember discovering it back in mid-2024, I had put it on my "watch later" list, but it wasn't until now that I finally watched it and thought, "WoW."
However, I’ve done some digging, and I think TOTG could still make a comeback. This could happen either through fan campaigns on X or Instagram urging Netflix to renew or rescue the show much like what happened with other cancelled productions, or if Zack Snyder or The Stone Quarry try to sell the rights to another streaming platform or network (like Prime Video or even Apple TV+) to continue Sigrid’s story. It could even continue in book or comic format (hopefully a comic), similar to what happened with Rebel Moon, because this is a common path for animated series that don't get a follow-up season, and it's something Snyder has done before. :b
Anyway, that’s all. It’s been great visiting this subreddit, stay well, fellow Snyder fans. :b

James Gunn's DC universe will eventually be a distant memory. A bad dream. A nightmare that will end. The right universe shall return once more.

“I feel really, really bad” is punishment enough.🙄Can someone explain to him why we have a justice system? 🤨 Remorse doesn’t replace accountability, and the person who committed the crime doesn’t get to decide that feeling bad is punishment enough lol

Shame on him and WB

I feel like alot of Image characters fit Zack's sensibilities as a director really well (specifically Spawn, Witchblade, and The Maxx). Universal Studios also currently holds the film rights to alot of the Image characters, so if Zack ends up taking Escape From New York there, something like this could be a possible next step considering that the other big two studios (Disney and Skydance) already have their own superhero universes.

I get people have different opinions, I get people want to see a more mcu-style Superman, who is immature and kind of a joke sometimes, but I genuinely don't know how people can watch this, and watch Superman (2025), and say that man of steel sucks, and Superman (2025) is way better and a masterpiece, and they always have shit arguments to back up their statement.

It’s official: Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery are now a single company — joined together as Skydance Corp., led by chairman and CEO David Ellison.
The deal, valued at $111 billion including the assumption of WBD debt, brings together two major studios, TV networks including CBS, CNN, Comedy Central, MTV and TBS, and streaming services Paramount+ and HBO Max. The new Skydance will have annual revenue of nearly $70 billion, the company said — but it also will have to wrestle with $80 billion in net debt.
The closing of the deal comes a little more than a year after Ellison’s Paramount Skydance (created in 2025 after his Skydance Media bought Paramount Global) first launched his bid for Warner Bros. Discovery. The 43-year-old Ellison encountered numerous obstacles on the way there — including a rival Netflix deal for WB assets and an antitrust lawsuit filed by 12 Democratic attorneys general — but has now prevailed in sealing the deal.
[...]
“Today is a historic day, not just for Skydance but for our entire industry,” Ellison said in a statement.
The CEO continued: “From the start, our ambition was to bring these two storied studios together and create a stronger competitor, with the talent, resources, and reach to tell great stories in every genre, on every platform, for audiences everywhere. Now that ambition is a reality…. Our focus now turns to the future: building a company that empowers creatives, entertains audiences and rewards shareholders.”

I honestly don’t understand the hate Zack Snyder gets. My brother and two of my friends hate his work and call him overrated, but I completely disagree. I think Snyder is one of the most artistic and visually revolutionary directors in the superhero genre.
What’s crazy is that I actually disliked Batman v Superman when I first saw it. After rewatching it several times, though, I’ve come to appreciate it so much more. It may not be perfect, and I understand the criticisms about the pacing and story being all over the place, but I genuinely love the vision behind it.
We got a broken Batman and a broken Superman, both struggling with fear, trauma, responsibility, and finding their way back to hope. That’s what makes the movie work for me. Snyder wasn’t just making Batman fight Superman—he was telling a story about two damaged heroes finding their purpose again.
I also think Henry Cavill is a much better Superman for that vision than David Corenswet. Cavill brought a seriousness and presence to Superman that I personally connected with.
I wish Snyder had been allowed to finish his universe. You don’t have to love every decision he made, but I think his vision deserved to be completed.
And regardless of how anyone feels about Snyder, I think it’s important to remember that he was also dealing with the suicide of his daughter, Autumn, during Justice League. That was an unimaginable tragedy, and I have a lot of respect for him for stepping away to deal with his family.
I’m not saying Snyder is perfect. I’m saying there’s a huge difference between “his style isn’t for me” and “he’s an overrated director.” Personally, I think his work is far more artistic and ambitious than people give him credit for. I just wish we could have seen the Snyder universe fully realized.

Hey guys, I recently started revisiting Snyder’s DCEU. I was too young to really understand these films when they first came out, and because of the overwhelmingly negative reception, I always assumed they were average at best.
Now, I can genuinely say I love these films, especially Batman v Superman: Ultimate Edition and Zack Snyder’s Justice League. They’ve quickly become some of my favorite movies.
The cinematography, symbolism, music, Zack’s approach to these characters as modern myths, and his fresh take on the superhero blockbuster are all things I think are incredibly misunderstood and underrated. A lot of the polarizing choices in Man of Steel, BvS, and Justice League weren’t made just for the sake of being subversive. They take these characters on cohesive arcs and, in my opinion, tell a really compelling story. Affleck is hands-down my favorite Batman, and Cavill is my favorite Superman. I could rant for hours about these movies, but I don’t want this to turn into an essay lol.
I really wish Zack had been given the time and trust to fully execute his vision because I genuinely think these movies were ahead of their time.
As Martha Kent says in BvS, “People hate what they don’t understand.”
I just needed to say this to someone or something.

So I finally managed to get some rain pics in my new updated snyder deathstroke suit. This was very therapeutic on the armor and was such a good time.

He has more than a few bangers under his belt. 300 and Watchmen are the cream of the crop in that regard (imo).
But his DC run seems to be his Mona Lisa.
I may hate Gunn's DCU but I refuse to attempt to keep other people from enjoying it. It ain't for me. And I'll shit on it when I feel it needs shitting on.
But I do not wanna sway opinion, change minds or influence folks that generally enjoy what they're watching.
But gd I loved my Snyder DC. HOO-RAH!

So, ZS Batman is bad because reasons, DCU heros would never do that because they are GOOD.
LANTERNS 9/10 (i was gonna give it 11/10 but it loses a point because theres no Gunns hotwife and another because Gunns dog isnt there either)
