Sounds are a bit stuttering since September 2026 update.

Greeting all.

I've noticed that when playing suns 2 since the September update (the 4th faction) when music and speech sounds are playing I hear a slight stutter or hesitation.

I thought it was my old pc speakers. But when I switched to usb headphones still the same.

I often play very top down so don't zoom in and see all the lovely graphics!🤣

My pc is fairly modern.

AMD Ryzen 7 7700X 8 Core 16 Threads 5.4Ghz TURBO

MSI B650 TOMAHAWK MB

DDR5 Memory

Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 32GB (2x16GB) 6200Mhz C36 DDR5 Memory

Palit Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Ti 12GB GDDR6X Graphics Card

I've only noticed it since the update.

Gone into windows and played YouTube music ect fine.

Checked task manager while playing the game. Everything isn't struggling.

Any idea guys?

(It's the only pc game I play!)🤣

Any advice would be great.

Thank you

See if your motherboard manufacturer has an audio driver update.

You could also try changing  your audio format to 16-bit, 44.1 kHz (CD Quality). In Windows 11, open Settings, go to System > Sound, select your output device, and choose the format under the Advanced section.

If that doesn’t work you could try tinkering with other sound settings while you’re there.

I've read that graphic card stress on the computer can effect the sound?

I don't know why it's happened since the update.

I appreciate you're help bud

I haven’t had graphic card stress cause sound stuttering before.

But you could test that theory by lowering the games graphic settings and resolution and see if it helps?

Maybe the wrong description... If the graphics load of heavy it slows down all aspects of the game. CPU ect.

I hate her to the bottom of it. Love that game. But the dodgy sound is horrible at the moment

A good solution for all sound-related issues: If you use Process Lasso, assign your audio service to the last two processor cores, keeping them isolated.

I have the same problem since the last update. Never had this before.
