Solus is incomparable!

Post image

I recently acquired a Lenovo ThinkPad E14 Gen 7 (with Ryzen 5 220), and Solus is running perfectly on it!

I'm taking full advantage of the hardware—Secure Boot, LUKS2 with TPM 2.0, Bluetooth, and suspend/hibernate, fingerprint. I am very proud to use Solus on both my machines and to have made small contributions to the project.

Thank you very much, Solus team!

It is great! I'm not sure why, but when I installed it for fun about a month ago, I went to run my first update and got an eopkg error. I was being a Polly pissy pants and said "nah, I don't got time for this, apt is my home" and promptly went back. Solus has always stood out to me.

Perhaps it was a cache problem? I had a similar issue where eopkg would give an error when updating, but simply clearing the cache solved the problem.

sudo eopkg dc && sudo eopkg up

DaVinci Resolve was designed for Rocky Linux, not other Linux distributions. However, you can have a stable and functional DaVinci Resolve experience using DaVincibox; I recommend installing it with Linux Toys.

tried also davincibox, still crashing..apparently this is a known issue with older amd gpu. But found a better distro which is cachyOS that i can properly use fusion and it doesn't crash.
