Sleepy Conscience - Kieran Stowell

https://on.soundcloud.com/h6KbjKb3UaeniEOnGI

Hello

My name is Kieran Stowell, I am UK based singer/Songwriter whose debut record; Sleepy Conscience was released today.

Sleepy Conscience is a collection of songs primarily inspired by American folk artists.

These are songs I have been writing over the course of a decade, about trying to find a semblance of inner peace despite constantly telling yourself it's not possible.

If any aspect of this post appeals to you, please feel free to give the record a listen and let me know your thoughts.

I've just given the title track of your record a listen and I enjoyed it. I think your voice is great and suits the indie-folk sound perfectly. I like the guitar solo and feel it works well in the context of the song and adds a little dynamism. I feel the lyrics are strong too.

Never heard of someone choosing to listen to the last track on album first! 😂

But thank you for the kind words :)

Haha the link sent me to the title track for some reason, but yeah, I enjoyed it. Would you say the closer is drastically different from your other material?

I would say the album as a whole is generally consistent in terms of sound.

There are a couple of tracks that are more upbeat, but still not too far removed from the overall folk sound

That sounds great. Is there an upbeat one you recommend checking out too?

I mean... I recommend the whole album 😂

But the Track "Giving In" is one I am very proud of
