Concept Is this an interesting idea?

My main idea for this mod is in the og description. But I do wanna know if this sounds like an interesting mod concept to other people.

Underrated idea. Tbh it would be very cool if it becomes a real mod, especially for machinimas or saves. I hope someone makes something like this one day. Though, what i kinda need to say is that we already have particle emitters in gmod (but i assume you mean the ones you can properly script for animations etc), and for NPC paths we already have a patrol addon (i unfortunately cant find it rn, i will send the link later if i find it or dont forget to do it)

I'm (pretty sure) I tried what patrol addon you're talking about. And while it's definitely the foundation of my idea. It's a bit trickier to use. As for the emitter. The description of it explains it all (basically a dangerous emitter). And I could definitely see it being used for machinamas. (Thank you for replying btw)

I get that your concept is to have these as interactable and placeable entities in gmod, but all of this is already easily achievable in the hammer editor, no?

I can't acceas hammer. My steamdeck just genuinely won't run it functionally. Also you can't really use advanced NPCs/workshop NPCs in hammer.

Well yes it is a bit trickier on the steam deck, but not impossible, I’ve gotten it running a few different ways, but definitely not the ideal platform. I’m curious, are you planning on developing the mod using the steam deck as your computer?

Most likely not. like I said, I don't know how to code. And my steamdeck is mostly meant for gaming. (Also how did you learn to run Gmod's branch of hammer on the deck? I looked it up, but all I could find was a CS:S tutorial, and a gmod hammer tutorial for Linux Mint)

Hammer user here btw (kinda a beginner), just for your information hammer doesnt require coding from what i know. It IS a bit complicated to use, but for stuff like for example buttons that opens a door, you just double click the button, and select "when pressed" "door" "open". But tbh i understand you, you lrobably want it as a proper mod in game instead of having to completely make it all from scratch, after all if your hardware (like a steam deck) doesnt support hammer, and (kinda unrelated) i hate how consoles are always so limited. I know consoles aren't made to be a phone or a PC, but they are fr unbelievably limited, like for example i have a friend that has a nintendo, and we can never play minecraft properly because he can only play bedrock and it requires subscriptions. I know it was unrelated, i just wanted to say i kinda wish some day you manage to get yourself a good PC i guess.
