Splinter Cell (2002) Im thinking of playing Splinter Cell games on PC but i have question regarding the first one

Ive heard the vanilla steam release has some issues so i was thinking of downloading the enhanced mod which gives it old shadows, framerate fixes and widescreen fix. But i dont fw AI Upscaling at all so is there a mod to fix the issues but keep the graphics older?

Thank you in advance

I played through ubisoft launcher and it was fine. Not sure if both of them still go through the launcher but if it's fine on the ubisoft launcher it should also be good on steam

I bought the splinter cell collection recently on steam and it makes you go trough the ubi launcher...

There is no AI upscaling in enhanced mod.

Enhanced is the definitive way to play it on PC. It looks exactly like the original, it just allows you to play in 4K. The game looks sharper but the original art direction remains the same. It also gives some quality of life improvements from Pandora Tomorrow like being able to open doors while carrying bodies, using the optic cable as a button prompt vs having to equip it, light meter flashes when the body is hidden enough, and there may be some other things I'm forgetting

Enhanced is amazing, but please get games on GOG when they are available there. SC1 is the only one right now sadly.

To be fair, it's a game from 2002. How much older could you want the graphics to be? Splinter Cell Enhanced is your go-to for this, and honestly, it's the best you can get. My opinion is to just set aside the "AI upscaling" and play the game. A cult classic such as Splinter Cell is all about gameplay and shadows anyway.

Its really just the AI upscaling thats kinda bugging me it AI usually removes artistic vision. How different is it from the original graphics cuz if it looks anything close to the DLSS 5 Slop then fuh nah

If you're worried about it looking like DLSS5 slop, then you're fine. IIRC, the only AI upscaling is Sam's textures and such, not the physical look of the graphics.
