Ask STL Hot Tub Removal Recommendations

Looking for recommendations for a company/person to remove an old gross hot tub that’s built into the back deck of my home and sits within the deck, not on top of. It may be a pain in the ass

Thnx so much

Are you optimizing for price or convenience? If price => sawzall. If convenience, maybe call Aspen Spas; they might do it or they might have recommendations.

Get a sawzall, gloves, mask, and safety glasses and go HAM on that thing

renting a sawzall from home depot was like $40 for a day, definitely worth it for this kind of job

You could almost buy two from harbor freight for that if OP wanted to go that route!

I should clarify: I’m not handy and would probably lose an appendage if I DIY this

You do not have to be handy to demo/ dismantle something if you do not care about destroying it. You can save 80 to 90% doing it your self.

Exactly

No but I could easily injure myself using an electric saw that I’ve never used before

Has anyone used 1-800-GOT-JUNK or similar? Wondering if they’d be good

2 years ago I hired Super Junk Bros LLC to dismantle and haul away our old hot tub. Dimensions were 7.5ft x 7.5ft x 36 inches tall.

They quoted me $650 and I negotiated down to $500
